If I could either work for 30k at home or do a 140k job abroad for 80k I would willingly get ripped off and exploited. It doesn't make it less bullshit that we don't offer such talented folks citizenship and a fair wage.
i wonder if its also true for biotech, i see a large number of listings asking for the same visas. i know indians also go into medical, and biotech too. but thier main source would be tech.

Also India is a big country. There's a lot of competition. During 2022 when we were hiring by the butt load, I interviewed a bunch of devs who were fired from other tech companies. Most of the applicants were indians and many even outright told me that they used to work 70-100 hours in their last job and wouldn't have a problem doing that if they were hired.
