This website shows a map of reddit. Each dot is a subreddit. Two dots within the same cluster are usually close to each other if multiple users frequently leave comments on both subreddits

Its crazy how big reddit is. Very hard to compete with that amount of content.
Well, we've got to start somewhere! Reddit was once smaller than Lemmy is today.
Hard disagree on Blender belonging in the AI category, but I guess it's just due to how the flow goes.
Yep the clustering into groups is an automated process with technical faults (it does not get semantics always correct, but it offers a good first overview).
The fact that blender is in AI land indicates most reddit users commenting on blender also comment on AI.

I would try, but I will need to buy some storage (terrabytes) And it will need some time to compute.
The guy who made this map of reddit let it run on amazon cloud compute, his smiliarity mapping algorithm was quite expensive.
That and how it would differ from Reddit
