World may have entered era of 1.5C warming, scientists say
Last year's record-breaking temperatures could be a sign that the world is entering a new era above 1.5C of global warming, scientists say, one never before faced by modern humans.
Only took us 1/4 of the time we aimed for! Capitalism is truly efficient.
1.5C so far... At the rate we're going 2 and 2.5C are very close
This, plus the other study on the same subject (which was also posted on this sub), and the paper from James Hansen et al. about accelerating warming are making it hard for me to feel any other way than that we're simply fucked.
Whatever "mitigation" measures we take definitely have to be implemented with an "adaptation" mindset.
