In depth video that shows some mismanagement can become deadly.
I agree with you, the post even states that the flood waters were at their cars and one of thrm had time to move their cars twice. Its a tragedy, but I feel like you can't blame management when you decided to come to work and then re-enter that building with water rising. I, personally, would risk getting fired to save my life, but some people might feel differently? I do agree that hindsight is 20/20 but its not like this was entirely unpredictable.
Its a cute story, the tech is only a small part of it. But its actually a good thing for the guy in the story that they can't stream at the same time since it let's them connect in that small way every day

Fired anyone who spoke up about the risks, yet was online repeatedly saying how "modern subs are like, the safest thing ever"
Its a surprising effect, no one said it was a good surprise!

They waited until they could file a few new patents, namely the catching and mounting mechanisms. Now they have a bit more legal standing it seems, although I'm not sure how this is all gonna shake out
Why not use off the shelf 18650 or 21700 like some electric cars, then you just need to bundle the 18650 in a way that they can be desoldered or whatever
