My boyfriend played this Brotato and beat it with every character or something like that. There were ragey moments. It was serious business! Lol
I've gotten back into Rimworld, I just got the BioTech dlc and I'm really enjoying it.
I love getting a little colony going and then almost inevitably seeing it slowly fall to pieces because of something stupid I did a few hours ago. For example not having my power production behind walls so raiders keep setting them in fire. So now my base is in the dark and everyone is injured following 2 raids in a row.
Thanks for bringing this up. I drift in and out of Rimworld every now and then and I just realized I never did pick up this DLC.
It's definitely worth a go. I'm properly sucked back in.
Biotech was such a good expansion. Ideology and Royalty were alright (haven't bought Anomaly yet), but neither transformed the way I played Rimworld like Biotech did.
I asked, I'm loving the new mechanics. It's great having mechs around the base helping with construction and cleaning. I'm about to make my first scyther cuz I desperately need another melee blocker as my poor cleaner bot keeps dying every raid.
Replayed Myst. This time with environmental subtitles I was able to complete the rocket ship puzzle, so that was cool.
Bought the Wolfenstein bundle in the last GOG sale. Almost done with Wolfenstein: The New Order. The german in the English dub is hilarious, somebody really had some fun while dubbing.
I also bought 1000xRESIST on Steam. No idea what to expect from that game but the ratings are really good and the trailer looked cool.
Also, there's another Monster Hunter Wilds beta this weekend and apparently the crashes I had in the first beta are fixed so I might get to try it this time.
I just finished Outcast 2 a new beginning and it was an amazing 25 hours. The main story is a super janky patchwork mess that barely makes sense. But the open world stuff, the side quests and the weapon upgrade system make more then up for it. It's a gorgeous looking, well optimized gem.
Finished Dragon Age Origins + the Awakening expansion, and am now playing Dragon Age Inquisition. It's taking me a bit of time to get used to the differences in spells, skills, and crafting. And why is there no crafting station in the Hinterlands?!? Let me make the things!
I couldn't really settle on what to play this week so I ended up with a bit of a mess.
First things first, Counter-Strike 2 is no more. As engaging as the game is something just doesn't feel right for me with this one. My main issue seems to have something to do with controls since I never had this many issues getting stuck on corners and doorways with any of the previous games. I don't know what it is, I just can't get the feeling for them.
There's also a pretty severe performance issue which feels like a memory leak that happens quite often in the middle of a match - again, don't know why since it doesn't happen every time or only on certain maps.
All in all, I can safely say I had way more fun with CS:GO but since the legacy branch won't work for me (game only flickers for a second and closes) I can safely put this experiment to rest.Second, my The Sims playthrough might be finished because of the sequel. I installed TS2 to refresh my memory and compare it with the original - I ended up playing through the night with barely any breaks. As much as I love the first game TS2 is just on another level and I ended up launching it whenever I had some free time, in contrast to the original which requires me to be in a specific mood to enjoy it.
I didn't have this much fun with the series in a long time now so it was funny to go through this return arc only to see EA release the legacy packs. I hope lots of new folks get to enjoy those games as both hold up really well despite their age.I also spent some time playing Euro Truck Simulator 2. It was my main choice whenever I couldn't focus on anything.
Daggerfall is on hold until I had my fill of The Sims. It might take a while but I'll be back, eventually.
Medabots also took a back seat to some extent but I'm still actively playing here and there.I finally started a blind playthrough of Dave the Diver after letting it sit in my backlog for ages. I'm not that far in, but it's great so far. The core game loop is fun and relaxing and the characters are all memorable.
And the over the top pixel art cutscenes, man. Worth the price for those alone.
Unicorn Overlord. I've been working my way through the Trails series and just finished the Crossbell arc so decided to take a break. It seemed like I was seeing tons of posts and articles about how good Unicorn Overlord is and well yeah. It's an amazing game!
The artwork is gorgeous, the battles are a lot of fun, I love spending time just making little tweaks to tactics, gear, or units just to make a unit just a little bit better. It's an amazing feeling when you seem to get it just right and your unit just rolls through a map.
How'd you like Crossbell?
I loved it! I had played Zero awhile ago but only just recently played Azure. It was so good! Azure is probably my favourite so far. I've not started the Erebonia arc yet but I'm looking forward to it!
I was playing it though and was like this could also be called Trails of Randy haha. I actually really liked how much they expanded on his character though. I knew a couple major spoilers going into it which is probably why I put off playing it but I'm so glad I finally got to it.

Wish I had the patience to learn all units and their counters. Game grinded to a halt for me because of this even though I like it. Will give it another go some time this year.
Still finishing Hogwarts Legacy w/ my kids, and otherwise playing a lot of chess. Other games:

Will probably finish one of those this weekend.

By myself, I'm playing The Witcher 3, bought it on GOG with the 2 DLCs for 10€, and it was one of my best buys.
I'm also playing Risk of Rain 2 and Hammerwatch with some friends.
I just finished playing Among Ashes and I thought it was quite good but I finished it in about 7 hours. This isn't an old game though, but it has a retro style for much of the game.
Cyberpunk 2077. I really like it!
