I May Be a Guild Receptionist, but I’ll Solo Any Boss to Clock Out on Time • Guild no Uketsukejou desu ga, Zangyou wa Iya nanode Boss wo Solo Tobatsu Shiyou to Omoimasu - Episode 3 discussion
Guild no Uketsukejou desu ga, Zangyou wa Iya nanode Boss wo Solo Toubatsu Shiyou to Omoimasu, episode 3
The episode was interesting. I wasn't sure if this was even going to have a plot of any note - with the right cast, it likely could've worked as gag/slice of life and I would've been fine with that. But it's looking like it is going to have a plot, and it could be interesting.
And the implications of that flashback also go some way toward explaining the other theme - what had been the OP - and the reason why the two were switched. All of that imagery of what appears to be Alina as a well-established adventurer, beautiful though it is, didn't quite fit with the notion that all she ever wanted to be was a receptionist. With what we know now though...
That OP is so gorgeous, I just can't get over it. I really like how they motivated her determination to be a receptionist this episode and I want to know more. The actual plot of this guy being a traitor isn't terribly surprising or interesting, so I am glad they just disposed of him pretty quickly.
I can't remember / don't know if it carried over from the manga / novel, but this show wasn't even trying when it comes to twists. It's as though the studio want the viewer to know that the traitor is going to turn on them.
Yeah, I think the story we have seen so far in this series is really surface level. There are some hints at deeper, more interesting stuff there though. I did appreciate the reveal this episode about why she is so insistent on being a receptionist.
Why did they go along with Rufus? In what way is "I'll tell everyone the Executioner is in Silver Wolf and they have a Dia skill" blackmail? Because a monster also used it? That doesn't make much sense imo.
