If they're so smart, why haven't they invented fire yet hmm?
They were so smart that they went back into the water and don't have to ever deal with capitalism
They still have to deal with capitalism, but they're smart and know that direct action, attacking boats, is the only way to go.
Because they understand that'll lead to industrialization and eventually the need to have a job. They're happy the way they are.
