Men. Original skate was so boring. I gave up after a few hours.
I have little faith in this. Neversoft doesn't even exist anymore, they were merged into Infinity Ward to be just another COD grunt. Vicarious Visions who made the wonderful THPS 1+2 also don't exist anymore and the team was merged into Blizzard to work on Diablo (maybe that's why last season was a banger). On the plus side of all these closures, Robomodo who made all the worst Tony Hawk stuff (Ride, Shred, THPS HD, THPS 5) is shut down completely so at the very least they won't get the project.
VV was the only studio that can pull off another thps game, hope they get to make it.
Heck, I've said it before, I'll say it again - when it comes to remakes / ports / reboots (whatever even American Sk8land would be considered) they were one of, if not the best people you could license IP to, for two decades.
THPS1+2 was super solid thanks to VV, but idk how it sold though. There's still market for extreme sports games for sure, though I wonder if the target audience isn't exactly same people that played og thps. Hope it works out for them
It sold well, but Activision saw more value in VV working as a CoD support studio. They pitched a 3+4 remake and Activision passed on it.
