Nintendo Switch 2 Shouldn’t Be Impacted By Shortages, Says CEO Furukawa In Q&A Report
  • I would think Nintendo would want to make as many of them as possible since they know they will sell well and they don't sell them at a loss.

  • Revenue from game subscriptions like Xbox Game Pass has barely grown in 2 years, potentially explaining Microsoft's studio closures. The megacorp is now reinvesting in "high-impact titles".
  • Infinite growth is a bitch, you just know quality will take a nosedive after growth slows as they find other ways to make money.

  • Space Marine 2 Devs Cancel Beta To Focus On 'Best' Possible Launch
  • That doesn't sound good. That smells more like we are having issues and the beta isn't going to make us and the game look good. Which makes me think what the launch will be like.

  • Steam users have spent $19 billion on games they have never played.
  • This is insinuating they aren't doing anything when they made a whole new engine, the steam deck, steamOS and more importantly proton.

  • Steam users have spent $19 billion on games they have never played.
  • I'll glady pay a 30% tax to play on linux and have the steam client

  • Humble bundle Summer Games Done Quick 2024 bundle
  • From reviews I've seen penny lacks a lot of polish.

  • New Hori Steam controller announced
  • Like make my own controller? Seems like a huge project.

  • Steam Summer Sale 2024 now live
  • Fugg, fixed!

  • Steam Summer Sale 2024 now live
  • There are also featured deep discounts page with games 90% off and according to steamdb they are the lowest prices ever for these games.

  • What Netflix has learned from its push into video games
  • Like flash games but worse is what I would image netflix games to be.

  • New Hori Steam controller announced
  • No touch pads, what a disappointment. For a moment I though I could get one of those fancy steam controllers without having to buy a deck.

  • Double Fine and Undead Labs vets launch experimental web game studio
  • Let me guess none of the games that studio makes will be better than a half decent flash game.

  • Steam owner Valve accused of ripping off 14m UK gamers
  • Probably because they can also finance the games being made. Indie devs generally don't have much money.

  • Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 - Gameplay Overview Trailer
  • Feels like this is something they would contract out to another studio.

  • Nintendo won’t reveal Mario & Luigi’s new developer, but says ‘original staff’ are invovled
  • I care more about the developers than the IP's. But most people don't care seeing how hot IP's are even if the games themselves are garbage.

  • [Second Wind] Hi-Rez CEO Claims Valve Is Overpowered | Cold Take
  • I agree but steam might as well be at the back of list for breaking up monopolies. Microsoft should be one of the first but we know that isn't going to happen so there isn't much of a point of letting Microsoft do whatever and going after steam it's main competition in the gaming space.

  • Multiplayer tactical space-based shooter, Boundary, has been officially discontinued/canceled
  • Don't take my rambling too literally. I think there are passionate devs at Activison and it's subsidiaries and then I think there are CEO parasites.
