I've only just started reading the books a couple years ago so I must ask: Is this based on the literal fuck ton of canon material? Or are they just pulling this out of nowhere for the sake of making a prequel instead of using the literal fuck ton of canon material at their disposal?
I've read the first books, and like you, don't have a clue. I'm hype as hell in any case.
