We need an ev equivalent to this bad boy!
- An electromagnetic railgun might be able to keep up
- How fast is that one?
  
  The ThrustSSC has achieved a speed of 1,227.985 km/h in October 1997 and has gone unchallenged for decades.
  
  ThrustSSC was also the first recorded land vehicle to ever break the sound barrier, at Mach 1.016.
  
  Too fast for electric motors. This is basically a pair of jet engines on wheels with a seat attached. The jet thrust is what's propelling this bad boy.
It looked like it could go a lot faster but ran out of straight road.
