Totally understand why Haas made the call on wets, surprised more lower teams didn't try it

But equally surprised they put both drivers on wets.. smart choice for lower field runners surely would be split strategy?
- My view is that they thought they're so low they might as well send it. What happens if it goes wrong? They finish last in the Constructors'?

  Like why did Red Bull not take a punt with Perez, faster cars, on wet tyres, he could have made up a ton of places if it worked out.

- I felt piastri was the one who bought his elbows out. Usually the car on the inside yields if they are behind in that corner

- Right now probably over the Old Port. The circuit sits on an island in between downtown Montréal and the southern suburbs of Saint Lambert and Longueuil.
So the inters turn into pseudo slicks right? So they can hold these until it rains then out on new inters?
- Kind of, but they'll wear a lot quicker than the softs.
RB has got to be questioning their decision to re-sign that guy.
- Red Bull have been making bad decision after bad decision since the horner sexual harrasment scandal. I think jos was right and the team is in disarray due to internal dissatisfaction with the investigation as well as all the politics going on

How can Piastri's tires be one lap older than Max's, didn't they pit on the same lap?
- Used in quali, maybe?
  
  Yeah I think that's it, because I believe FP and quali are included in tyre age calculations when shown on the broadcast.
  
  No more probably used in a FP session. Tyres used in quali usually have 3 laps on them - outlap + quali lap + inlap

- Update: Yeah...I called it. I don't think anyone outside McLaren stands a chance at winning barring a red flag or a crazy strat. Pit now and go to the slicks.

- They broke parc ferme, to change their setup.
So rain will arrive just as they've worn down the entire tread. Too bad we didn't see anyone gamble for slicks, if the rain isn't too intense maybe softs would be able to handle it.
George doing George things, and where the hell did that extra burst of pace suddenly spring from for Norris.

Its like his tyres suddenly found 2 laps worth of total sweet spot
- I'm actually interested in seeing the tyre wear on the McLarens. Could we see Norris have to switch onto slicks just as the rain arrives?
- Norris was nowhere in the wet, while George and Max were wearing out their tires battling each other Norris could save his.
