It's a very cute story! Unfortunately not true - this particular cat got an honorary title but it wasn't a thing that usually happened.
Still, I'm glad they had cat memes even back then!
Aww, I loved the idea of it! Never mind, at least it happened once. :)
Within the EU, you still need passport for a cat if you wanna travel abroad with it. My cat has his own passport.
