Das mit nur Eutersaft ist Milch ist soweit ich weiss eine EU-Regelung zum Verbraucherschutz und kein Trick der Lebensmittelindustrie. Die Industrie gibt dem Kram jedem Namen, solange er sich gut verkaufen lÀsst.
Kuhmilch kommt aus KĂŒhen.
Katzenmilch kommt auch aus KĂŒhen.
Das ergibt doch alles keinen Sinn!
Ich bin dafĂŒr, das Wort "Milch" generell zu verbieten. Als Alternative fĂŒr die Bezeichnung von Kuhmilch schlage ich "Hausrind-Euterextrakt" oder "homogenisierte Kasein-Molkenprotein-Emulsion" vor. Das ist eindeutig, informativ und beugt Verwechslungen vor.
Bei Kokosmilch frage ich mich auch gerade, warum die ausgenommen ist. Vielleicht, weil sie nicht als Milchalternative gedacht ist, sondern nur auch weiĂ ist. Jedenfalls hat der EuGH 2017 entschieden, dass Milch tierischen Ursprungs zu sein hat:
Die Rechtsprechung orientiert sich da vmtl. einfach an den aktuell bereits etablierten Begriffen. Ohne die Geschichte genauer zu kennen wĂŒrde ich vermuten, dass Scheuermilch, Kokosmilch etc. schon seit vielen Jahr(zehnt)en so verwendet werden. Hafermilch etc. dĂŒrfte neuer sein, und daher keine Ausnahme erhalten.
Warum sollte man das ganze auch mal konsistent klÀren? Hauptsache man hadie wertvolle Tierindustrie gegen die pösen Veganer-Purschen verteidigt... @state_electrician@ich_iel
Ich kann die Kritik nicht nachvollziehen. Die EU konkretisiert und vereinheitlicht lediglich das, was in den verschiedenen LÀndern, Sprachen und Kulturen ohnehin schon de facto so ist. Was meinst du, wie groà der Aufschrei gewesen wÀre, wenn die böse EU uns plötzlich Worte wie Scheuermilch verbietet...
Der EU-Rat hat bereits 2007 Milch als "durch ein- oder mehrmaliges Melken gewonnenes Erzeugnis der normalen Eutersekretion" definiert, da waren Haferdrinks gerade mal zehn Jahre auf dem Markt. Ausnahmen gab es lediglich fĂŒr bereits etablierte Begriffe; diese Liste wurde 2010 dann nochmal erweitert.
Man kann durchaus darĂŒber diskutieren, ob der Begriff "Hafermilch" sich in der Zwischenzeit weit genug verbreitet hat, um eine Aufnahme in die Liste der Ausnahmen zu rechtfertigen. Aber ein bewusstes Vorgehen gegen vegane Milchalternativen halte ich fĂŒr aus der Luft gegriffen.
So willkĂŒrlich finde ich das nicht. Von den Ausnahmen mit Milch kann keiner mit Tiermilch verwechselt werden, weil sie in komplett anderer Verpackung angeboten werden und andere Verwendungszwecke haben.
Ich persönlich finde Milch als Abgrenzung zu Produkten aus Hafer, Soja, etc. auch nicht schĂŒtzenswert. Und ob das als Schutz fĂŒr die Milchindustrie oder als Verbraucherschutz festgelegt wurde vermag ich nicht zu sagen. Die EU macht mal das eine, mal das andere.

Meine muddi hatte sich die mal gekauft, eine verzehrt und die nÀchste in der schnute als sie las das da fleisch drin ist. Als langjÀhrige vegetarierin hat sie erstmal gekotzt
Tbf, wĂ€re kein Problem, wenn Frikadellen aus GemĂŒse nicht "Frikadellen" heiĂen dĂŒrften. Dann wĂŒsste ich sofort, was Sache ist. Und das sage ich als langjĂ€hriger Vegetarier, der auch schonmal auf genau so eine Verpackung reingefallen ist.
