To top out Lemmy would be a bad move. In this case we could consider a #2 being equal to being #1. Nothing's greater than Lemmy, a British rock musician.

not sure. I just use it to chat with friends, family and such, not so much for new connections
But if you pop over to Reddit it's a lot of similar memes.

This is one reason I’m not a fan of the block feature (and I suppose even have slight concerns about instances blocking other instances). “Recommendation transparency”(?).
Would be neat to say “here, I curated this feed for you” and link somebody to the instance you use with a block list embedded. If we get used to browsing without seeing furry goblin porn, friends might be surprised when we recommend a site that has so much of it.
My hope is that if enough people block an instance, it'll just die out over time from not enough interaction.
