I really really like alien 3. It was not what we expected at the time, but it’s a great film in its own right.
that was an objectively terrible film...
only eclipsed in terrible acting and terrible story by: alien resurrection...in my opinion, Aliens is followed by Prometheus
the other two don't countUmm. 1 and 2 were such good and influential movies that the 3rd just felt like riding the hype train.
Plus A3 lead to the smelters multiplayer level being included in the AvP2 game and was (at least from memory) great.
