Campists: We don't defend Russia of course. Also Campists:
Adam Something is pointing out Russia is falling in to fascism, and campists think that pointing out that the USA is also degenerating into fascism (and Adam recognizing it) is somehow a dunk.
Later on they try to backpedal in the comments after being called out for this whataboutism shit take, by saying that "no of course I don't defend Russia, but..."
Note: I'm not here to defend Adam Something; but merely to point out that common counter-argument "we never defended Russia" runs kinda shallow when they constantly run interference like that.
I like Adam Something as well... but his latest video unironically ran a 90 second sponsor segment for BetterHelp, the well known scam, 'connects you to mental health specialists' app that also illegally sells your confidential health data, and often connects you to 'professionals' with no actual qualifications.
He removed the sponsor segment pretty quickly after people complained, but... that means he doesn't actually vet his sponsors.

nooo 😭
But at least he did remove it.
Yeah, at least he did :/ I don't watch him or youtube much in general but i was fond of him as a personality. This is kind of disappointing, but enough for me to hate him, i guess. Thanks for telling me about this though :)
Adam Something does fun videos where he picks apart techbro innovations and points out that what they are suggesting as new future transport tech is nearly always slower, more expensive, and with less capacity than a train. he has particular distaste for Musk and his projects.
just like all evolution trends towards crabs, all techbro innovation trends towards trains
No, nor are they even very similar. Adam Conover is a serious leftist and a union organiser. Adam Something is quite centrist, and gives off some vague pro-military-industrial-complex vibes. (Even if he does channel those vibes in favour of the right side in the Russo-Ukrainian war.)
