I might be misunderstanding your comment - I'm not asking about awareness, of any sort.
If I'm at McDonald's and I tell the llm "hey you got that last item wrong", does it really not do anything to correct the order? That would be a vast and surprising oversight.
An LLM isn't going to give a shit what you tell it. I don't think you understand the desire people have to make a human connection when they see there's been a mistake made and they're on the losing end.
