Edit: I decided to throw it out and order a new stainless steel one that's all one piece. Thanks for the help!

Can I introduce you to hand crafted spoons and spatulas:
30 5 ReplyI don't think these would be happy in a dishwasher
11 0 ReplyI wash all my wooden stuff in the dishwasher. It's not ideal but it's not like they fall apart after the first wash.
I have wooden spatulas that are years old that have always been machine washed.
6 0 ReplyNot that much of a problem, and even less so if you use bamboo utensils.
1 0 ReplyReally? I can believe I was misinformed/taught wrong, but can you back that up? Online results are split.
1 0 ReplyI have only my own experience to back it up. I've always washed my wooden utensils in the dishwasher (top rack only). The cheapest ones do ok, but show some wear after a few years. The bamboo ones look as good today as when they were purchased (10+ years ago).

2 2 ReplyMy brother makes them and sells a few, but considering that we are on the other side of the world to most people postage is a killer.
He doesn't have a 'store', although I did put one together for him during lockdown, but you could contact him through insta Wooden Jeff
