Dune II: The Building of a Dynasty
playclassic.games Dune II: The Building of a Dynasty | Play game online!Dune II: The Building of a Dynasty, an outstanding game based on Brian Herbert's book. Play Dune II: The Building of a Dynasty online here, in web browser!
Not sure if this sort of link is allowed, but I was just thinking of the first ever RTS for me: Dune II, and I realized I could play it in a browser! I don't have any backups of this game with me, so this was a treat.

is there a way to play DOS games on an iphone?
I didn’t see this question anywhere else here, so I apologize if I missed it. Is there any way to play dos on iPhone? I have a feeling there is for android and would love to know that too but I primarily use an iPhone. Fingers crossed. Thank you!

From the site:
eXoDOS is an attempt to catalog, obtain, and make playable every game developed for the DOS and PC Booter platform. We strive to find original media rather than using scene rips or hacks. This collection uses DOSBox to allow these older games to play on modern systems. Games supported by ScummVM give the user a choice between emulators. All required emulators are included and have been setup to run all included titles with no prior knowledge or experience required on the users part.
This pack includes 7,200 DOS games. The focus is on games that were either released in English or are fairly easy to play without a knowledge of the native language. This is not every DOS game ever made, however it is a very high percentage of all commercial releases. There are thousands of freeware, homebrew, and shareware games that will continue to be added in future packs.

DOS Games Music Collection
I'm playing Eye of the Beholder for the first time (SO good) and am a bit disappointed with the music. Naturally, I went on a hunt to build up a collection of DOS game music and found this site.
You can filter by platform (DOS filter is applied in the URL linked to this post) but what's really cool is that there is a torrent for the whole site's collection of MIDI and MOD tracks! The whole archive is 1.38gb and I'll be seeding it indefinitely.
This is the magnet link:

Now, time for me to get back to dungeon cartography.

What game is that in the banner?
It looks pretty gruesome. Even for a DOS game. I'm intrigued.

Good WW2 strategy/tactics games?
I've been getting a bit more in strategy games, outside of real-time, and am keen to explore some of the DOS WW2 strategy games. I know strategy games and flight sims were both very popular, especially in the earlier years, so I'm hoping someone's got some suggestions for me :)
For context - other WW2 strategy games I'm playing at the moment are Hearts of Iron IV, Blitzkireg 1 and Company of Heroes 2.

KGen98 - Emulation is DOS
So, kgen98 was one of the first genesis emulators, and it runs on dos.
I use it in one of my ICT classes (paired with a sonic 1 rom) on a floppy disk to demonstrate just how heavily compressed and optimised older games were.
It's an oddball that is definitely worth trying out.

Doom Shovelware Collection
This is a collection of commercial compilations for Doom and Doom 2 (with some Heretic and Hexen stuff as well).
I sourced all of these from archive.org and then extracted them from their various CD images to make things as easy as possible for people. There were so many different CD image formats and I was unable to extract a couple but most are here. There is hundreds of thousands of wads here.
If you don't know where to start, my personal favorite is the D!Zone series. D!Zone Gold or D!Zone Collectors Edition are a good jumping off point.
