  • Bidet users, how do you dry your ass afterward?
  • No heat, imagine just a hand holdable blower with a complimentary vacuum to suck in everything blown away. Like at the dentist. The dentist makes a mess in your teeth while the assistant uses a little vacuum tube to clean it all up.

  • And they do. I got no complaints from that end of the bargain myself. But It depends on when you start. Like if you start at a point when the company is not doing well, you are probably not going to get a good bump. But then you don't know what others make so it's mostly going to be compared with rumors from the net as to how much you might ask for. Anyway if you join in a bad year you get stuck with that pay while new people probably get a lot higher when profitability comes back. The owners have no incentive to pay you more just because they are making more.

There's a new law here in Washington State where the new positions must state the pay range. But then you can have a rate range that is far too large to be of any comparison or gage use.

The reason I would want freedom from these laws is so that I can get a good job doing what I like. Chasing a project from company to company just to learn more about it for example is not uncommon.

  • In my field of work this is relatively important. For one thing there are company secrets that give the company an edge temporarily. Those things you generally don't patent because you don't want to disclose them yet.

So if you could just find another job and tell others these things, then yeah that could hurt a company. Usually we keep those things a just need to know level. So the guy who orders parts or the lady who does budgets don't get to know details.

But then on the overall it hurts us workers because we would like to be paid more or get a promotion or a new higher income somewhere else. But we are trapped. But I think this sort of thing is very niche. I mean, I literally spent 3 years of my life trying to find another team member with the right engineering background.

And it also hurts the country overall. People who know the technology are few and far apart so when we loose one to old age or disease so goes all that knowledge.

I for one try to grow engineers. I find those who are open minded and hungry for new ideas and then I bring them to the water. If the donkey drinks, then my job is done. It's really hard to see one of my guys just leave. It's years of my life and effort gone. But for them, it's spin-off open season. Or maybe they teach others the principles we developed together. And this in turn makes better and more engineers. Putting a limit on what we can say or do just sucks balls.

  • By 2030 China will be making most cars
  • Oh look there's a ton of new room with these smaller vehicles! Whatever should we do with that space left after adding three more lanes to all freeways??? It's like 3 inches left! Let's add a bike tire lane!

  • Clarence Thomas takes aim at a new target: Eliminating OSHA
  • Yes. But I am puzzled why the Ultras asked the supremes to end abortion. If I was an Ultra, I would have legalized public sex and drugs and tent cities. How does preventing abortion help the Ultras? Anyway, that's a piece of the puzzle that I can't understand well yet.

Eliminating the EPA, OSHA, animal protections, all these things fall under the Ultra "I'm loving it" package.

  • By 2030 China will be making most cars

It feels terrible to know that we have no say now and within just a few years we won't have a say ever again. At least none of us alive today. Hopefully our kid's kids will eliminate the car.

Someone did this before so I am going to try it. I used a hibiscus 🌺 tea and left it unattended for most of the year. So I wonder if it will taste any good.

    Keep Sonicating to prevent drugs.

So as a summary of the procedure from what I saw...you go in the tube, they spin a big ass magnet around you, the molecular resonance is captured into an image... somehow they figure out some areas or volumes are more active than others, then they sonicate those volumes. As they sonicate your memories away, they show you images of drugs to see if you still want to use them. If you say no, they they keep Sonicating just in case. And that's it. Oh, no they guy probably doesn't make it past 60.

Ask Microsoft: Are you using our personal data to train AI?

foundation.mozilla.org Ask Microsoft if They Plan to Use Our Personal Data to Train AI

Mozilla is a global nonprofit dedicated to keeping the Internet a global public resource that is open and accessible to all.

Ask Microsoft if They Plan to Use Our Personal Data to Train AI

We had four lawyers, three privacy experts, and two campaigners look at Microsoft's new Service Agreement, and none of our experts could tell if Microsoft plans on using your personal data – including audio, video, chat, and attachments from 130 products, including Office, Skype, Teams, and Xbox – to train its AI models.

If nine experts in privacy can't understand what Microsoft does with your data, what chance does the average person have? That's why we're asking Microsoft to say if they're going to use our personal data to train its AI.

The LPRC wants your phone number!

Also what is the LPRC? According to this video.

...they are the loss prevention ...I forgot tge rest... republican cabrones?

Basically they want you to go to Walmart for your deodorant and type your phone number to get an unlocking code! Win win right?

They sell you the product and get you to give them your phone number and get you to confirm that it is yours!

They also have another thing where you have to let them take a picture of your face. I'm assuming it's for you to get your white bread securely? What do you think 🤔?

Old spice Blue vs White stuff

While shopping on Amazon for my usual old spice bearglove smelling system, I've gotten burned with what I'm getting. I want the blue stuff and I keep getting this white stuff. I don't care if they took the aluminum off, I'm not willing to try that again. Last time I tried it my armpits got extremely irritated. I'm not a sissyfus type of person, but hey if someone was poking you in the armpits that would hurt.

So here I am thinking...hmm deodorant is the blue stuff! Antiperspirant is the white stuff. But no. Now there seems no difference. So does anyone have a good aroma deodorant that not white irritation based for me to try from Amazon?

Mailu+Photoprism using Traefik, NGINX, & Cloudflare

Hello, I recently got into Photoprism and it's now my one and only app that I care to spend time feeding. Except Google says I'm running out of space please buy more and I want to do badly but nah. So I found mailu to be a pretty simple docker. Photoprism was working so well initially as dynamic DNS and then I moved to Cloudflare and the world opened up for more. Cloudflare wanted money for portzilla so I found NGINX and that reverse proxy manager is awesome. However I could not figure out how to set it up to get mailu working. I found hints that Traefik could fix that with simple yml files per each service. Could someone please share some info on this? I so far have gotten Traefik to come up but then followed a YouTube video to add TLS and I'm not able to login internally or externally. I think the cloudflare connection is working because I get the same 404 error page as I do locally with 10.178.35.83:9080 as an example I get the same page as "my page.com". The video said to expect that but did not elaborate as to how they fix it or how they bring NGINX under the traefik umbrella.

He has the config files here:

    https://github.com/JamesTurland/JimsGarage/tree/main

I used his version 3 per the video, but now I can't get to the dashboard.

Anyway after I do figure out this dashboard, the next hurdle would be to figure out how to setup mailu so I can send emails to [email protected]

I'm behind an ONT, which can forward ports and then a Unifi Controller with USG which can also forward ports. Currently I'm forwarding 80 and 443 on both right to the computer holding docker.
