US frets over Iran's accelerated uranium enrichment programme
  • Gosh, if only we had some sort of deal that resulted in a solid framework that would have prevented Iran from further nuclear weapons development. Maybe something like a Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action?

  • Fanhome Launching New Collection Of Die-Cast Star Trek Ship Models
  • Master Replicas took over the Eaglemoss stock and they have an XL E for $72.

  • There's a difference
  • I hate Bush's baked beans. They taste.. chalky. It's Van Kamp or nothing in my household.

  • We never see the planet again
  • Mustafar was shown in Rogue One, specifically Vader's Castle. It was also the planet at the very beginning of Rise of Skywalker where Kylo Ren slaughters all of those people and gets a holocron, or something.

  • What items are made better than they used to be?
  • Cars. Some people like to talk about how sturdy cars used to be, but with all of the advancements in safety, if I were in a head-on collision between an old Plymouth and a Toyota Prius, I'd much rather be in the Prius.

  • Spotify Wrapped 2023 is out, what's your top artist and top song for the year?
  • This is almost identical to my Wrapped last year, with the exception of Kow Otani (Gundam Wing OST)

  • 13" or smaller Linux laptop - best replacement for aging chromebook?
  • Take a look at Minifree Ltd. For less than USD $500, you can get a decent ThinkPad with Libreboot and your choice of Linux distro (KDE Debian is installed by default).

  • A challenge that most of you will find pretty easy.
  • Finally, some love for my boy Yamcha.

  • You could always hop over to https://frame.work and pick up a refurbished Intel mainboard plus an enclosure (or 3D print your own using their plans). You'd just need to get some RAM and a small SSD to run an OS like TrueNAS and you'd be good to go for probably under USD $600.

  • Most hated chilhood dishes
  • For me it was salmon patties. My parents were fond of making them, especially during Lent. It was basically a can of salmon, toss in some (light) seasoning, and cook until its the consistency of a hockey puck. They were these dry, tasteless abominations and I could not stand them.

If I were to make them today, it'd be more akin to a crab cake and with fresh salmon instead of canned. But I won't.

  • Trump goes all in on Nazi rhetoric, and the media gives him another free pass
  • What frustrates the hell out of me is that these warning flags are being raised in opinion sections and not in main articles in news outlets. It also frustrates me that local news outlets, where a vast majority of people throughout America still get their news, has not been covering this at all.

  • The public doesn’t understand the risks of a Trump victory. That’s the media’s fault
  • What about Biden is bad exactly? Yeah, he's old. Yeah, he has the exact same position on Israel as literally every US president since its inception. But what about Biden makes him not "good" in your eyes?

I support Biden not because he's an anti-Trump, but because he's a genuinely good man who gets things done. He knows how to work the system and gets results.

  • Grammy Nominations 2024: Full List
  • Did I read correctly that Chris Brown is among the nominees? What in the--and I cannot stress this enough--actual fuck?

  • Know you're character
  • I think Halo is a pretty cool guy. Eh kills aleins and doesnt afraid of anything.

  • HBO Max is removing features from my plan without reducing my price.
  • I get HBO Max through my wireless carrier, but there's no way in hell I'd pay for it on its own. The Max app is just straight, unadulterated hot garbage.

  • What should I spend >£100 of Google Store credit on before it runs out?
  • I also have a Pixel 7, and I bought some Pixel Buds Pros during the Amazon deal days for $120. I'd say they're definitely worth it.

I was using 1st gen AirPods Pros, which were fine, but they never quite fit right in my ears regardless of which tips I used. The Pixel Buds, on the other hand, fit snugly and provide a good seal which makes active noise cancellation excellent. They also have great sound and call quality.

The only drawback is that the touch volume control is super finicky to the point that I just use my phone.

  • 15 years of Android memories – When did you get your first Android phone?
  • HTC Droid Incredible in July 2010. That phone was a slow piece of shit and I loved it.

  • Johnson: We're Not A Democracy, We're A "Biblical" Republic And Separation Of Church And State Isn't Real
  • Assuming you're not American and are unfamiliar with our bicameral legislature: Mitch McConnell is a Republican senator from Kentucky who served as the Senate Majority Leader when Republicans held a majority in the Senate. Mike Johnson, on the other hand, is a Republican representative in the House of Representatives--the other half of Congress--who was elected to the position of Speaker by a majority of House Republicans. The Speaker is second in line to the Presidency and actually be held by anyone. However, at no time has Mitch McConnell been Speaker of the House.

If you are American: Jesus Christ go back to civics class.

  • If you switch that drop down that says "Korea" to "All regions", do you get results? I confirmed that if I switch that to Korea it filters out results.

  • Autumn Playlist - Spotify

This is an autumn-themed playlist that I've been curating for a while. It's not necessarily songs about autumn, but rather songs that, for me at least, evoke feelings of walking through a crisp, cool forest with leaves crunching under foot.

    Giving Gnome a facelift

    12

    What's your preferred terminal?

I'm using Gnome on Fedora and was wondering what terminal everyone's using? When I had a Mac I really liked iTerm2 and was hoping to find a suitable Linux version, but so far no such luck. I've tried Guake but I can't get the F12 binding to work.

Preferably, I'd like to find a terminal that can display system stats the same way as iTerm2.
