Infected games under Proton.
  • Best practice is to create a user just for gaming.

  • A teen said a deputy threatened him as he filmed his mom's arrest. A jury awarded him $185,000.
  • Holy shit, this was because someone reported her mom for not wearing a freaking helmet!?!?!

  • What's your favorite terminal?
  • 9term is what I use the most. Once you get used to the Plan9 way, you kind of like it. Sometimes I use Terminator as well. Konsole is like Terminator, both are good. They are both nicer than kitty for me. I tried kitty, went back to Terminator as it has menus to edit things, not just a text file.

Which OS do you use for your homeserver?
  • I have a VM on my FreeBSD desktop with Bhyve. I have 2 ThinkPads, an x61t & x201t that run it. I also have a Raspberry PI3B+ that runs it, and is my web server.

  • Which OS do you use for your homeserver?
  • FreeBSD & 9Front. BSD for my media server and 9front for my web server.

  • *Permanently Deleted*
  • It's much faster locally or on bare metal.

  • I am not sure, but I found this article about the history of typewriters & computers that might have the answer some where. https://guides.loc.gov/office-history/typewriters-computers

  • Blender lag with AMDGPU, FreeBSD
  • The solution is to run blender from the terminal like so vblank_mode=0 blender

Basically adding the vblank_mode=0 allows Blender to run further than VSYNC allows.

  • He had back pain, this was his solution for a less painful way to sit.

  • Random skipping on direct stream? Temp fix.
  • Is it perhaps related to the Codec of the videos?

  • Blender lag with AMDGPU, FreeBSD

I have a 6750XT with drmkmod515 drivers on my FreeBSD 14. The gpu drm is working, as games run fine but Blender, the 3d software, does not. It lags like a mofo. Has anyone had this issue and/or found a solution?
