All Republicans are groomers.
  • i don't want to keep going back and forth saying the same stuff over and over, so we disagree.

i just wanted to point out the way you used the quotation marks is called scare quotes. weird name but that's what they're generally called.

i think it is called that because the author is afraid to use the term directly so they use these quotes to signal they don't mean the contents, but aren't necessarily quoting anyone either.

  • it is a conjecture; i just said it's not a big one. a safe bet, you could say.

if you don't see what kind there is between right wing religious cunts opposing lgbt rights in the name of family and children and child predation then I can only wish you a quick recovery from your decades long coma.

also you're going super hard on this not being about children (or "children" to use your scare quotes) is weird. giving big "but she looks mature" vibes. the only argument isn't the age gap. it's that one was middle aged and the other was a minor when they met, and they got married a few years later.

  • this is like a notch above "it's ephebophilia actually"

they meet when she was 17, in highschool. he was not. a couple years later he gave her a scholarship for college and later they got married.

no it's not a big conjecture. considering he's an anti LGBT republican makes it almost a guarantee actually.

  • Is anyone else highly concerned with the SCOTUS ruling that the POTUS is immune from criminal liability?
  • not easy to describe because the intricacies of political operation in the dnc and the strategic policy considerations that evaluate optics and the public opinion's effect on future elections would require esoteric political science terminology to say democrats are pussies

  • All Republicans are groomers.
  • if you've been groomed from childhood it doesn't really matter at what age you get married. you've still been manipulated and one can hardly assume real agency is involved. mind that people usually don't say "let's get married" and do it that year. the idea of marriage was likely discussed and decided on way earlier.

  • Why do many search engines seem to ignore operators (e.g. exact phrases, term exclusions, OR, etc.)? Is there a good reason for having a dumb 1997-level search logic that I'm not seeing?
  • over the years, too many to count. for me the first red flag was them trying to replace ads with their own "safe" ads, rather than blocking them. they have brave rewards, which i automatically distrust. they push crypto, which is probably their biggest sin. but they also auto added affiliate links to binance urls. just all around shitty, opportunistic goblin vibes.

  • Mildred
  • cishet dude here so i dunno how much what I'm about to say matters but I've always liked the name Eleanor(e) because The Practice is my favorite procedural series and in that show Eleanor was a badass woman with strong convictions and morals.

she also was in one of the coolest scenes in tv imo, having a very heated argument entirely in sign language. here's an unfortunately terrible recording of it: https://youtu.be/CwV9dHHQj-8

anyway i think Eleanore is a cool name, but more than that, once people associate it with you that's what they will think about when they hear the name, the kind of person you are. not the other way around.

  • i think you missed the point of my comment:

this is not about how progressive he has or hasn't been. he's actually been more progressive than a lot of presidents; honestly i thought the stuff he did for unions was impossible in the US.

unfortunately that's not necessarily a great force for voting in the US. again, people voted for W, and it was not for his policies. plus things like that aren't very widely or consistently publicized. and people have a short memory and attention span.

this is about how he looks and presents himself. and the reality is that he doesn't look old. he looks dead. there are people older than him that look and act like they might have been his children.

and also: beating TFG is most important. but that's why people on the left think he should step down. you may be of the firm belief that he can do it, but polls don't reflect the same confidence. you might believe the polls or not, but that's what we have.

also he's not officially the candidate until the convention. so he's not on the ballot yet. that's why people are asking for a switch.
