He also wrote Stranger in a Strange Land and The Moon is a Harsh Mistress. Taken all together, these three works and all the rest of his bibliography, saying he had an authoritarian streak is as valid as saying he had a hippie streak or a libertarian streak.
His writing asks questions, he doesn’t preach. Some of his characters preach, but that isn’t necessarily him speaking. It’s him asking questions and spurring discussion.

When you tap on a post that has a video link, it initially seems to show a Piped link, but it quickly changes to YouTube. I’m not sure if this is how it’s supposed to be but thought you might want to know.
They probably look for edits after a certain amount of time has passed from the original comment or post. It wouldn’t matter how many edits you make after that initial time period. They’d just revert back to the one before the long time period, if it exists. That’s how I’d do it, anyway.
I heard it called that back around 1985.
I did see the attachment now. Thank you!
Homelander is in The Boys on Amazon Prime. The actor is Antony Starr.
I can’t see the link I added to the post. I’m including it here: https://imgur.com/a/LYFqZKv

This has been happening since the beginning, I just kept putting off posting. When I vote on a comment inside a post, the vote disappears if I fold the parent comment or if I scroll far enough that the voted comment goes offscreen. Sometimes the second attempt at voting sticks, today that isn’t working. The video shows the second attempt at voting on these comments.
I figured it must be just me since nobody else posted about it but maybe it’s not just me?
Awesome!!! Thanks for a great app and great response time on things we report. 🤗
Enhancement: cake day icon
On a user’s cake day, the slice of cake icon appears next to their username like in the other place. I know Apollo reflected this, is it possible in Arctic?
Very helpful, thanks. Had the update this morning and there it was. It’s off now.
And after trying several others we finally found the ones that work :)
Birds can’t taste it like we do. You can get bird feed covered in red pepper to keep other animals from eating it. I’m not sure a bird would eat a pepper, anyway, but 🤷🏼♀️
I had this car, mom got it new and then gave it to me around 2001. I loved that car. It’s a little more green than this picture shows but super bright.
Bookkeeper (mom told me this riddle when I was little. She’s a tax accountant)
Target used to sell Corelle by the piece in the store. You can also find it in thrift stores.
TIL the Apollo 11 astronauts had to go through immigration in Hawaii when they splashed down because they had left U.S. borders.

What are you reading?
I’m reading Time Enough For Love. Lazarus is getting back into his country doctor persona because Llita is pregnant.
I love to read this book every few years, I get something different from it each time.
What do you recommend to a reader who is new to Heinlein?
I like to recommend Methuselah’s Children because it’s where we meet Lazarus Long. The beginning of the Future History, although Lazarus did meet Pinero.
What do you recommend and why?

We can also post funny stuff like we do on The Heinlein Society's Facebook page.
