Build your own palette
I love everything about single shadows. Looking through a brand's offerings, hunting for swatches from others, rearranging them, etc.
-For eyeshadow, I know of Lethal Cosmetics! Their site has a very cool palette building function.
-For overall face, I know of Salt NY ("clean" but not extreme in price, doesn't try to lean into the whole clean thing). They have chic cases and you also mix and match on their site.
Does anyone know of other indie brands that let you build your own palette like this?
Is Zoologist considered indie? I'm not interested in wearing most of their scents but I think they have so many cool ones! Some that fall flat, some that aren't as scary as people make them sound. And the bottle design is great.
Gallagher Fragrances has some bold scents and I bought Wicked Good and Rose All Dae.
Makeup wise: Phytosurgence and Kaleidos.
The whole family is going to see it! Looks like a breath of fresh air. 100 points just for the set design.
Oops, I always miss these topics. Yesterday I didn't where anything indie, but today I have on Phytosurgence Simmer blush. It's really cuuute.
For the most part I sort by season, and before heading out I usually check the weather report. These days when I'm in a rush and it's hot out, I reach for something soapy/laundry smelling and just use a little. Sometimes when there's more time to choose, I might reach for the ones that I know don't get a lot of use (if I feel they're right for the temp/humidity).
Also have to ride a couple packed trains in the morning so I need to try not to suffocate anyone.๐ญ
Hellooo I'm into makeup and perfume. Thankfully got out of obsessing over perfume as it's far more expensive than makeup and I have a decent collection now. I love indie brands that have their packaging together lol, like Phytosurgence, Lethal Cosmetics, Danessa Myricks Beauty, etc.
Lovely review! Out of all of these I've only tried Blackburn's Parlor and it's hilarious every time. Yup, that's a whole banana split in a little bottle (for a little while before that part goes away).
I like the sound of Russian Caravan and Conjure! Maybe when I'm in the US I'll try a few more samples from Solstice Scents.
