That is untrue. I can open source my product for a reason, but if anyone try to sell it it's a crime. I openenly show everyone my source code, but without the right licence it's nothing. often you can't even compare it to the software running.

Unklar ist wie genau das manipulierte Bild geladen werden muss, iMessage war ja zetzt genutzt worden und diesmal wohl auch und/oder es ist tatsächlich egal wo man ein Bild lädt (Frist&Thirdparty Apps), aber Linkvorschau bringt wohl die richtige 0click Funktionalität, und wird im Lockdown-Mode auch abschaltet.

Yes, you can either add the game as a non-steam game and force proton, or use Lutris or Bottles (with proton or other WINE runner). For repacks with installers, you can launch the setup.exe with Lutris or Bottles (install the game to 'fake' drive_c and move it), just make sure you include dependencies that require it (usually .net framework).
