some people have, but whenever you'd mention it, you'd be met with "lol take the tinfoil hat off", "but we're already using [for-profit platform] why would we move when everyone's here" and "but it's haaaaaaard".
I've never played multiplayer games in my childhood (long story), and the first multiplayer I've really tried was PUBG Mobile. I've been hooked on it for about three years and made some online friends over it. when EA made Apex Legends available on Linux last year I've switched to it and clocked about 600 hours since then. I really enjoy the BR format, and even though I've never tried a competitive shooter like Counter Strike or Valorant (fuck their intrusive anticheat by the way), running exactly the same lines on the same map and constantly holding the same angles and hoping to just outreact the opponent by a milisecond doesn't appeal to me.
Spotify's Discover Weekly used to be great for me for a long time and I'd get lots of new music that I liked. it got pretty stale over the past year or so, with stuff that I don't enjoy at all, and it often recommends me the same songs that I tell it to not recommend. it feels like I've reached the end of the internet and there's no more music left to try.

wish some reddit mods participating in the blackout watched it.
it's not really open source - only the modifications are. the base is still the normal, closed source client.

ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. I'll try.
I'm a huge fan of the original Witcher books, and the games and the show just don't feel the same, with the first game straight up lifting the lines and the plot from the books for a supposedly completely different story, and the show completely missing the point of the saga. I've actually started playing the 2 about a year ago, but left it after the few initial missions because I just wasn't feeling it. I went back to give it a try because everyone's been praising it as a good game, and I'm trying to look at it as a fantasy RPG set in its own universe. I'll see how it goes this time.
biblically acurate Pikachu.
be afraid.
I've just started 2 a few days ago. I'll get there some day.

using your browser, you can "install" a progressive web app. you get a shortcuts to the website on your home screen, and, at least on Firefox for Android, it opens in a window that's separate from your browser's tabs. in Lemmy's case you get notifications through it as well.
no idea how it works on Jerboa, it's still a bit too glitchy for my taste so I removed it for now and stick to the PWA on my phone.
PAYDAY 2 came to Linux officially back in 2016 but as of today they've removed support for it, so it will no longer see updates on the Native Linux version.
> It does, however, still work quite well with the Windows version via Steam Play Proton on desktop Linux and is Steam Deck Verified against the Windows version in Proton. So while it's a loss of support for their Native build, it's still fully playable on Linux.
