Finally. Some good fucking news.
Thanks a lot @[email protected] & @[email protected]! Couldn't find that option in Gnome Tweaks, but in the Gnome multitasking settings, there's an option to disable hot corners. I don't know why these settings don't show up, when you search for 'hot corners' in settings, though.
[SOLVED] [Gnome 46.2] Is there a way to turn off the "Show Apps" hover effect?
[SOLVED] Go to Gnome Settings > Multitasking > Disable Hot Corners
I'm on NixOS 24.05 and I'm using GNOME 46.2 (Wayland) and whenever I hover over the upper left corner of my screen all apps are showing as if I clicked the "Show Apps" button. Is there any way to turn it off? It's driving me insane. Since I'm working with multiple monitors, it's happening quite frequently. Thanks in advance.
Have fun getting to the second! It takes a while until you get a hang of this game, but it's worth it in my opinion :)
Understandable. I'm a student, so I have wayy too much time to waste on this game.
Same, the Indian FTR1200 is my dream bike!
I've always been using nano, but since I refused to ever read the docs, I'm still confused
LOL, I guess that's fitting for some of his songs! If you listen to others like "ieuD" it's more on the Metal side, but they always keep you guessing whatever they may come up with next
What about some Doom like Khemmis, Neurosis, Windhand, Monolord? Low energy like Devin Townsend's "Ocean Machine" Melodic and melancholic like Leprous Or progressive like Wheel

Creating this list I noticed, that many songs and bands fit multiple moods, which kind of made it hard for me to öin down which emotion I would assign them lol
Do you have any suggestions as well?
My first distro was Ubuntu and I've been very happy with it. Many hate it for being bloated or because of the snap package manager, but in my uninformed opinion I think it's a solid choice for beginners, since everything is already set up and ready to go. On my laptop I'm trying out NixOS, but I'm having more trouble setting that up and it's better for advanced users, I believe. Many also recommended Linux Mint, which is also good for beginners, but doesn't have the snap package manager like ubuntu does.
I have metal bands for every emotion I could possibly feel lol
No worries, I recently broke up with my GF (aka duo partner), so my league addiction is cured!
Just Paradox things
I love the game and at times I couldn't stop playing. The more it got patched the more issues I had with it and I haven't played in a while. Still waiting for Falling Frontier to be released :)
- They changed the keybindings without giving you the ability to edit keybindings yourself
- The performance is bad
- The game speed is linked to framerate and the longer your run is, the slower your game runs
- The former point results in players in multiplayer getting kicked because of synchronization issues
- Many minor bugs such as science ships getting trapped at one planet because they cant ever finish surveying them
- DLCs being absolutely overpriced sometimes
- Mechanics being absolutely unbalanced
I bought the game on release and played the game for over 700 hours since and I had to witness many patches that introduced so many bugs
Still waiting for them to fix their game and not produce even more DLCs
If I understood the article correctly, the Thunderbird app is not released, yet. They said they are working on getting it released.
What are the risks of installing Vanguard on a PC with dual boot?
tl;dr: Security concerns for my Linux partition, when running Vanguard on Windows?
Now that Vanguard is out, I can't play LoL on Linux anymore. I'm running a dual boot setup with windows and I'm using it only for stuff I can't get to work on Linux, so there is no personal data on there.
- Are there any security risks for my Linux partition, if Vanguard is installed and running on my Linux partition?
- Could Vanguard potentially access my ext4 Linux file system via Windows?
- If my NAS is mounted on Windows, could that also be a security concern?
I'm grateful for any kind of feedback, since I'm not very informed in terms of rootkits and kernels!
Sofle Keyboard without rotaries?
I have a Lily58, but I would love having two thumb buttons and overall 2-4 buttons more. The Sofle V2 seems like a really good choice, but I have no use for the rotaries. Is there a way to replace the rotaries with normal switches or are there other spilt keyboards similar to the Sofle V2, but without rotary encoders?
Thanks for any suggestions!
Thoughts on this Chuka Bocho Chef's Knive?
About the Shape - A Nakiri is a vegetable knife. Under utilized in the Western kitchen, the Nakiri’s flat blade is meant for the push/pull chopping of vegetables. Since the entire flat edge of the knife kisses the cutting board at once, you wont be turning the vegetable into an accordion. Accor...
Hi, I've been searching for a Japanese-made Chinese cleaver for a pretty long time and I think I finally found what I'm looking for. I'd really appreciate your thoughts on this, since it's a pretty hefty investment. Link
Thanks in advance!
Reinstall without data loss
Hi, I can't connect to my TrueNAS scale server anymore, not even through the webGUI due to me being stupid. It seems like I need to do a full reinstall and I'm very paranoid about losing data. What do I need to do so I can reinstall truenas without using data? Do I need to export my pools? I don't want to save my config, since it seems to be totally broken. Thanks in advance.

Question about Vivobarefoot Scott IV Mens | Are they zero-drop? ANSWERED - they are.
TL;DR Are the Vivobarefoot Scott IV Mens Zero-Drop?
Hi, I'm thinking about buying the Vivobarefoot Scott IV Mens, but on their website under the heading 'geo outsole' it says the following: >[...] this outsole raises up towards the heel to hold feet firmly in place.
This sounds like those shoes aren't zero drop which would be a dealbreaker for me. Does anyone have experience with this model or similar shoes by Vivobarefoot?
Also, if anyone can recommend other warm barefoot winter shoes, feel free to let me know. :)
Thanks in advance!
