"Galileo Was Wrong": Thoughts on Geocentrism?
  • Hence Galileo was rightly criticized for lacking religious caution; his rebellious attitude against religion (again, not necessarily for supporting a speculative scientific view) indeed has caused centuries of harm, pitting science against religion, whereas true science can never contradict religious truth.

It's the slave's fault for killing his master. They should have remained a slave forever, never speaking or acting against their oppression. The Church can't have uppity removeds fucking with their money changers. Those Jews were right to kill that Jesus fellow: the most egregious of removed rebels.

  • To all you outside of the US...
  • You keep repeating it because a false dichotomy, that you must choose between a D or R, prevents you from accepting that the lesser evil is, in fact, evil. So, you're stuck on stupid and not asking questions. This should help:

The Democrats already, quite predictably, ignored the outcome of their primary to nominate Clinton. They're not going to do a fucking thing that doesn't make a corporate donor money. All of Sanders proposals took from corporations to provide for humans. He never stood a chance of being nominated as a Democrat and he damned well knew it. If we give him the benefit of the doubt then his goal was education. If not, he rallied for Democrats to avoid the rise of a Labor Party during a critical time in history.

  • To all you outside of the US...
  • We've seen this before with Reagan. We took the military industrial complex to the next level. If history repeats with banks deregulated as they are now... It won't matter one fucking bit, really. It's not very important whom they choose to front their cons. No President can save us, or would want to. Our oppressor is not our savior.

  • Undecided voters say they now support Joe Biden after debate
  • Perhaps it's because we immigrants have a broader world view and more quickly realized that none of those assholes represent us. Perhaps white natives are too easily scared by propagandist headlines and shitty science.

  • To all you outside of the US...
  • If it's after they're elected then it'll run down the line of succession: VP, Speaker of the House, president pro tempore of the Senate, then the cabinet.

If it's before they're elected, I'm no expert but I believe the Democratic and Republican parties are private organizations that can do whatever the fuck they want, even fail to abide by the results of their own primaries.

  • To all you outside of the US...
  • As without a President we've no Vice President, the duty would fall to the Speaker of the House, then the president pro tempore of the Senate: the heads of our bicameral federal legislative branch. They'd serve the remaining portion on the term until the next regularly scheduled election.

  • Fuck both of us
  • Do you know of any actual metrics/tests done that show this clearly?

No one probably cared to design a barrel and firing mechanism just for this experiment since maybe the late 1930s. And, I'd guess that possible someone was the US military.

Honestly, no one really cares. There's so many variables that change slightly for each cycle of the action. Variables change more for each round, assuming typical ammo. And, there's a lot of variables that change a helluva lot between humans. After deciding usage and the appropriate round to chamber, one starts picking their pistol based on what feels good in their hand. Those are the ones they'll shoot most accurately with.

my physics classes were a long time ago

The hardest part by far is visualizing a graph. Force is the y axis. Time is the x axis. A line represents a changing force over time called an impulse.

Impulse 1: acts with a force of 1000 Newtons for 0.01 second

Impulse 2: acts with a force of 10 Newtons for 1 seconds

The impulse magnitude is the integral, the area under the curve of the graph of force over time. The math is easy for these situations because they're rectangles: 10 x 1 and 1000 x 0.01.

Both impulses have the same magnitude: 10 Newton x seconds. Both impulses, applied upon a mass, can do the same amount of work. Both impulses could be the equal and opposite reactions to firing the same round if fired from different pistols.

The revolver delivers a short, violent, mess of peaks and vallies along a big peak. The modern semi auto delivers a smooth increase to a lower plateau that falls off just as smoothly. The modern semi auto takes much longer deliver the same magnitude impulse.

But, a human brain and body doesn't care much about "much longer" when it's still "instant". The brain and body care about the how high the peak is and how "messy" (signal noise).

  • I accused the other of misinformation when the article even said I was wrong. I'd be a hypocrite, an idiot, and an asshole to not make it right.

Thanks for not only recognizing but also taking the time to reinforce what we both want to see more of.

  • Thank you for the compliment. But, in this facet the biggest difference between us is probably only how much time our parents bought us before we had to fend for ourselves. My ideas aren't special, just regurgitated and stitched together pieces of work by actual smart people.

We're on the same side because any reasonable and intelligent person is on our side. We came from all directions, reasoning our way to the same basic conclusions: It's broken and humans suffer. We'll sacrifice to fix it together.

  • Tenancy Lawyer

My family rents an apartment from an owner that uses a property management company. There's a big hole in my roof. My property manager is like HR for landlords.

We stopped caring if she's being malicious or incompetent, then submitted a warranty of habitibility complaint to the contact information in our lease. The email bounced. The physical letter received no response. The courtesy copy we sent our property manager had her claiming nonsense like she could verbally rewrite lease terms, even threatening a mid-lease rent increase. There's obviously some significant communication issues present.

We organized all our documentation of all issues from all sources. We called a mold testing service. And, in attempt to bypass the property manager I submitted a RFP request to the property management agency simply asking for legal contact information for a geographic area, then received a response from a paralegal. The mold testing occurred. The lab results indicate the presence of black mold.

It's time to negotiate. If you've reason to recommend a tenancy lawyer then my family would appreciate your guidance.
