Anybody have a TL;DR?
So weird to think that that all went down in 14 years. 2010 doesn't seem that long ago.
Those intersections remind me of Washington, DC, and there they are indeed very bad for traffic.

Is that 20% of the number of species of mammals, or 20% of the number of individual mammals?
Spanish-language pop punk?
Can anyone recommend any Spanish-language pop punk? IMaybe some bands from Spain or a Latin American country that plays in this style? Thanks.
Didn't they just discontinue the NUC?
I don't understand this sentiment. I read and enjoyed the books and also watched the Chinese series on YouTube, and while I think the Chinese production was decent I'm definitely interested to see what Netflix can do with [what I assume to be] a bigger budget as there is definitely room for improvement.
I like the logic here, but you still need to find some gasoline
Yeah, hard to imagine even best case scenario being very good
Interesting, I'd never read it that way before. A lot of interpretation sure does seem to hinge on those little commas.
I don't understand this article. There are no citations, but I can't find anything that shows OK having the second most deaths, and plenty of states topped 20,000 deaths long ago.
Why do GoPro cameras use a different mount?
I recently got my first GoPro and am learning about the various mounting options, but this does make me wonder why they don't use a traditional tripod mount. (I know that the Hero 12 added one.) I was hoping to find an article from GoPro describing the pros and cons of their mount and how they came to the decision to use their mount, but I've been unable to find anything like that. Does anyone have any information any this decision and the history of the GoPro mount?

Spanish stories with an RSS feed?
I'm looking for a site that hosts an RSS feed with beginner-level short stories in Spanish. I'm learning Spanish and I think it would be helpful for me to read a bit each day as I'm working through my feed. Is anyone aware of a site like this that I could add? Thanks.
Emacs-style up/down with ctrl-p/ctrl-n in menus
Has anyone managed to get ctrl-p/ctrl-n working to move the selection up and down in menus? This works when editing notes in a file, but not from a menu. For example, I'd like to bring up the command menu and move up and down using ctrl-p and ctrl-n instead of the arrow keys.
I've tried various plugins but none of them seem to provide this functionality. I'm tempted to try writing my own, but before I start down that rabbit hole I figured I'd ask here as I'm sure I'm the only one who'd appreciate this functionality. Thanks.
