Group B RWD is one of the most fun rally classes to drive.
  • Yeah I feel you on this one- very similar situation myself! Forget energy, you’ll never have it. Just find the time, and aim racing will give you the buzz you’ve been looking for.

  • Racing chairs/rigs- what’s yours?

www.logitechg.com Playseat Trophy - Sim Racing Seat | Logitech G Edition

Shop Playseat Trophy Racing Seat. Features lightweight carbon steel frame, Actifit™️ body conforming material, adjustable wheel, pedals, plates and seat positioning.

Logitech have not long announced they’ve made a racing chair- I know there’s probably some you can get a lot cheaper but it looks neat! I’m in desperate need of upgrading to one of these- I currently use a desk which is not remotely suited to the job. Too high, can’t match my chair to the right angle/height, wobbles with the force of turning the wheel which in turn also wobbles my monitor etc…please tell me I’m not the only one with this setup? 😆

video.gamerstavern.online The Gamers Tavern Championship - Estonia - Group B RWD!

Hey! Face cam is back! Ah damn, face cam is back. Excuse the mess. Now watch this drive...

The Gamers Tavern Championship - Estonia - Group B RWD!

Hey everyone! I did a short stream where I drove Group B RWD for The Gamer’s Tavern Rally Championship in EA WRC. I drove the Lancia 037 and spent most of the time on full lock in some blizzard conditions and also mostly airborne 😂 I brought back the face camera so you can see how much I look like a dork while trying to fight with the car… haha. I wasn’t fast enough to catch EighthLayer this time…

We talk about driving assists in rally games using controller, we talk about weight distribution and brake bias, and we drive the hell out of this thing!

Feel free to comment and join in, I love talking cars, driving styles and all things sim racing with people!

"Tesla AI" Lays Out Coming Release Roadmap - CleanTechnica
  • Seemed to be- it was owned by my Mum so there’s no guarantee she’d updated firmware properly or whatever. Come think of it I do remember checking for firmware updates and there weren’t any at that moment in time, but something as severely dangerous as that tainted my view somewhat permanently of it. The only saving grace was the great acceleration: if I wasn’t quick enough slamming the accelerator down a few times I would have been smoosh by a following truck.

  • "Tesla AI" Lays Out Coming Release Roadmap - CleanTechnica
  • I agree with the angle you’re coming from and think you’re right to a degree, but I can hand on heart say Tesla’s automation is the worst I’ve experienced. Have driven the likes of Tesla, VW and Volvo with automated driving capabilities, Volvo came out on top, VW second and Tesla last. I lost track of the amount of times where the Tesla slammed its brakes on randomly when travelling on a motorway at 70mph with seemingly no trigger. The Volvo was the most rock solid where I could actually sit back and let the car do it without feeling like I needed to be ready at a millisecond’s reaction to take over.

Perhaps where Tesla falls down is claiming their software has “Full Self Driving”. It doesn’t, and none of them do- yet.

  • "Tesla AI" Lays Out Coming Release Roadmap - CleanTechnica
  • I…don’t think there’s anyone I’d trust less to create an AI for driving

  • Goodbye FireFish.
  • Yeah it had a pretty rough ride at the start but when it worked, it was really nice tbh.

    Also:

  • Goodbye FireFish.
  • Damn shame, tbh. Out of all of them I really like the visuals and vibe of Firefish.

  • Questions about the safety of Tesla's 'Full Self-Driving' system are growing
  • Questions are growing? Haven’t they been out already for fucking years??

  • Phew, I was wondering if the M11
  • Don’t worry everyone, it was fine. Someone just drove into

I used to love driving this thing in the OG Need for Speed games. Should really try and revisit it in some of the modern sim racers
  • Hardly surprised to be honest, I hear there’s good versions of toasters to drive too

If you're doing CPR, the next person takes over and then the sternum pops...
  • Not at all! I share your frustration- we’re plagued by bad/ineffective CPR because TV shows and films do such a shit job of showing it. I know it seems extreme but I think it should be illegal to show ineffective CPR on TV.

  • If you're doing CPR, the next person takes over and then the sternum pops...
  • For non medical readers: to clarify- the person first doing the compressions first wasn’t pressing hard enough. Not the person taking over!

Just…don’t be afraid with compressions. The only thing you can really get wrong is not pressing hard enough. For the rest of it, don’t worry about it- just keep trying to squash that heart, that’s the best chance you can give the person.

  • I mean the trend these days is massive preorder price then back down to a normal price after a month or so, right? :/

  • I know right?! It especially runs really well on steam deck, too

Anyone interested in this? I know it isn’t sim racing but you gotta admit, sometimes it’s ridiculously free after spending hours of meticulously trying not to crash a car to just go “ah fuck it! HNNNNRRRG” steer into opponents

Do you love sim racing enough to spend $2,499 on a steering wheel? / Sim-Lab used the Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team’s technical designs to accurately recreate the team’s steering wheel for gamers.
  • Yeah to be fair I’ve seen loads of examples where sim racers have multiple wheels that they use on display on a shelf and they just swap them out

Now I love me some Sim Racing. I know it’s an expensive habit that ultimately is cheaper than real life racing. But…c’mon…? Surely not?

EA Sports WRC Update 1.9 Introduces Controversial EA Anticheat
  • I have a few friends who are now dropping this game (they’re on Linux). Such a dick move by EA

  • Anyone driven this beast? Mercedes Sauber C9

Absolute monster of a car. Twin turbo V8. The sound of it was and still is incredible. Only tried it out a few times on Project Cars 2 and regularly crashed 😂

Check out some on board footage here: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=OQVWvNIzVSc&t=147s&pp=ygUkUm9iIHNoZXJyYXJkIG1lcmNlZGVzIHNhdWJlciBvbmJvYXJk

What's your all time favourite track or rally car to drive?

For me, nothing comes close to the MG Metro 6R4 in EA WRC. There’s just something about how it just clicks with my driving style, along with that amazing sounding naturally aspirated V6. I can’t describe it, there’s just a mutual agreement between me and the car where it just works 🤣

Anyone else have a similar thing in other games or even EA WRC?

Who's playing Once Human here? Thoughts so far?

Seeing a lot of talk about this game- and surprisingly positive ones at that, too. I was planning to just watch and observe a bit before jumping in as I’ve made the mistake too many times of jumping straight into a game that turns out to be not ready or not what it said it was going to be.

Feel free to post all things sim racing and sim racing. The whole idea behind this was to have an active space where we get to discuss this stuff!

Thank you for joining, and welcome!

Happy racing. Anyone got any clips of their gameplay to post?

Ford Escort MK2- awesome onboard footage - rally Wales

This is some incredible quality onboard video of Oliver Solberg (yes, son of Petter Solberg!) absolutely owning the Sweet Lamb stage of Wales Rally. I don’t think there’s much other on board footage that comes close to this one in terms of quality that gives us an insight into what those old school rally cars drove like.

Hats off to Oliver here, driving it like a man possessed and not missing a beat- also in manual as well! It always saddens me somewhat when they put sequential gearbox into these classic rally cars.
