I do it too because, although I have great bandwidth, 4k on YouTube (specifically) usually stutters for me and I’d rather just watch something unimpeded at a lower resolution. Not that fussed about resolution on a YouTube vid.
Liftoff is great, but the text size on the comments is way too small and currently not adjustable (only post text is adjustable). Hopefully that’s just an oversight because along with wefwef, Liftoff is the best for me right now.
I agree the mods could and should have done a lot more to protest more effectively as you said. Reddit will be around for a long time to come I suspect, but in a steadily decreasing manner, with its effectiveness and relevance as an (often good) information source fading away.
The captchas that involve identifying letters underneath squiggles I already find nearly impossible - Uppercase? Lowercase? J j i I l L g 9 … and so on….
