I went back to cable and got an old cablecard and networked tuner. No rental fees for a box, and I can stream it wherever without checking in or dealing with location restrictions, and my DVR is still mine even if I leave and subscribe to something else.
But that would still be easier to convince someone to sign up for Signal or whatever other app if it came in a unified inbox. I just started using Beeper a couple of months ago, because while the security concerns are valid, it is really damn convenient.
my tastes happening to align with game availability on the platform.
I wished more people phrased it this way, or acknowledged that some peoples' tastes in games aren't going to change to fit a new platform.
A reseed to get Minnesota or Toronto. It sucks that the 1 seed gets locked into playing the best teams possible.
Yeah, I'll agree with you there. I don't know the extent to which this bot is necessary given that it's not very discerning.
This community is currently hosting lots of country, and region specific news. Not everyone is in the UK and impacted by their regulations. Not everyone is in Europe where they're testing the Facebook and Instagram ad-free subscription. Hell, not everyone is on those platforms so those stories aren't relevant to them. It would leave the community pretty empty at this point if we started moderating content according to its global relevance, especially when people always have the option to just scroll by.
There's also still a sizable chunk of the audience who doesn't even engage with Ultimate Team, and just wants to play all of the other game modes.
Let's clinch!
I mean, zoning is kind of the smallest hurdle for a rural town. Developing public transit and construction to make streets bike friendly are significantly larger investments. You've still then got the issue that your small town serves as the hub for miles of mountain and farmland and you can never fully end the car dependency. And for colonial era towns, construction is often not an option because of the likelihood that something has historical significance.
Often times, the only option for smaller communities that are car dependent is just a multi-level garage that has a smaller footprint. But many don't have the demand for downtown commercial real estate that would help it make financial sense.
Ober's profile is interesting. Fastball velocity comes in the bottom 20% in the league averaging around 91mph, but tails a good bit, then his changeup comes in at 83 with similar movement that drops off. Good command and hard hit percentage, but in the bottom third of the league for barrells, expected slugging and ISO. So that points to: lots of strikes and good movement, but bad breaking stuff that gets left over the middle?
Just three teams qualify as "aggressive buyers" as the the trade deadline draws closer.
Tim Britton on the O's: With the third-best record in baseball, the question is just how aggressive Baltimore will be in buying at the deadline. Mike Elias’ track record points to some caution. Last summer, with his team surprisingly on the cusp of the wild-card race, Elias still acted as a strategic seller — a move that’s paid some dividends for this iteration of the Orioles. Over the winter, after suggesting he’d be a big spender, he instead opted for smaller moves. Until he behaves differently, that will remain the expectation.
Kyle Bradish looks to continue his recent success and help the Baltimore Orioles snap a three-game losing streak when they host the Minnesota Twins on Saturday.
He and Frazier are really going to lose out. He's made some slight improvements at the plate this year but still not good. Henderson probably moves to short while Westburg plays 2nd and 3rd.
Jackson Chourio is the more explosive athlete but Jackson Holliday probably wins the argument on performance and present baseball skill.
"Holliday tore up Low-A Delmarva to start the season and hit even better once he first arrived in High-A Aberdeen, including a .384/.509/.628 line in May. Some regression to the mean was inevitable, and after getting on base three times in Sunday’s matinee game at Wilmington, he’s hitting .222/.385/.319 in June. Same player, two arbitrary samples, determined by attempts to track the phases of the moon. Holliday is still getting on base, still making contact at almost exactly the same rate in June as in May, running into some bad luck and making somewhat softer contact."
Yes, the bots are contributing. Some server upgrades, and a way to plan future upgrades are planned.
I genuinely don't understand why he says stuff like this so frequently. He can continue to back ownership without going so far to insult fans.
Surely their goal is for A's fans to follow the team to Vegas or switch to the Giants. How does this help?
Danny Coulombe is leading the league in exit velocity against and hard hit %
While Cano and Bautista garner most of the early national attention, Coulombe has been having a great season as well.
I don't know if this classifies as easy, but there was a mod designed with this in mind.
This all came together significantly faster than I expected. Fanaticus One has put a ton of work in!
Originally I thought these kinds of facts would wear a little old, but it really is something special.
The last Orioles sweep happened last May. They’ll try to have this still be true after today’s game.
When the Orioles optioned former top prospect Grayson Rodriguez to Triple-A Norfolk in late May after an up-and-down debut, they still believed that he had top-of-the-rotation potential. The electric stuff was there; he just wasn’t able to consistently translate it into success yet. - MLB Pipeline |...

The three-time MVP and future Hall of Famer is amid one of the frostiest stretches in his career…. and yet he's still pretty great.
Connolly: James McCann Q&A: On being an Oriole, working with Adley Rutschman and giving back
McCann describes being a veteran mentor, having his twin sons at the ballpark, his favorite cheat food and more.
On Rutschman: "I’ve said this really since day one. His talent is off the charts. Everyone knows that. But the way he goes about his business, his work ethic, who he is as a person, as a teammate, makes him even better. He’s a great guy to work with and we have a really good working relationship and friendship."
