Man fined for squirting mixture of urine and flour onto woman's dress to try to chat her up
  • Thanks!

When I searched myself I kept getting results about the act of mating rather than the ritual. I'm getting rusty with my search queries.

  • Oh my god that is hillarious, thank you for that!

Do you have a source that I can send to my friends?

  • What's the easiest song or melody someone with not experience can play on an acoustic guitar?
  • "no skill, only play!" OP is wasting everyones time here, including himself. You can't play the guitar if you refuse to learn how to play. Just go and return it while you still can.

  • Caption this.
  • So hyped for the epilogue!

  • As the Elden Ring DLC beats the snot out of players, Hidetaka Miyazaki says toning difficulty down would "break the game itself"
  • I agree with you that some people are misguided and expect dark souls to be hard for the sake of being hard. Yes you die a lot but that is part of the game, and dying is not a state of failure but a step in getting better in order to overcome the obstacle.

I have seen people not only beat the game but do a no hit run with guitar hero guitar, dance dance gamepad and even raw potatoes. Making the game easy does not equal to making it 'accessible', but it does break the core gameplay loop. There are ways to make games more accessible in general that doesn't ruin the fun factor. Check out AbleGamers they are doing amazing work helping the community which I think is one of the best ways to go about this issue.

  • Bunny the 'talking' dog's owner says the skepticism from the scientific community hurts the most
  • She's not complaining about the skeptisism. The quote is:

"Some people got angry. 'Animals can't talk,' they say. But most of it is not even worth my time," Devine said. "My perspective is you can believe what you want to believe. This is our day-to-day life. I'm not selectively editing; I'm not cherry-picking."

It mentions she is actively cooperating with some professors to understand this phenomena better.

  • I don't know what to tell you man, sometimes even I wonder if it's worth it at all. Publishing to a journal is such a difficult task. Before submitting your paper you need the approval of two other well-established individuals. Then you send in your paper to your selected journal and each one has some specific format and policies, which many are arbitrary and inthe end of the day depends on the person reviewing your paper. This can take weeks of back and forth.

However if you think you did something noteworthy, as far as I know, this is how you get it in front of the eyes of your peers. Even then there's a chance that your paper gets ignored lol.

So like many others in this thread, I'm not a fan of this process because even though it's strict, a lot of bs still passes through

  • Well you're not entirely incorrect with that assumption. What we call science today is actually the Scientific Method Which is a much more skeptical approach to science than the earlier methods, hence the credibility. I like many others agree that the fees built into the system is quiet absurd and the process is not perfect, but currently that is the only legit way to get others evaluate your research.

  • Personally I don't know you so I might be wrong, but based on what you described sounds like you're doing it more as a chore than having fun

  • Easy way to weed out NSBM bands?

Hey fellow lemmings, I've recently watched some documentries and read some articles that made me more aware of the existence of NSBM. I love metal, both the music and the culture but I don't want to hear anything related to that specific scene.

I don't want to dicuss the morality of the subject, I just wish to know how I can easily identify if a band I'm listening to is problematic.

I'm aware of Metallum, but that is not always reliable and easily accessible. I am also not able to detect the themes in the lyrics, tbh most of the time I can barely even understand what the vocalist is saying. Thank you all in advance

    FOSS alternatives to Songkick

Hello wonderful people of PrivacyGuides, I hope my question is relevant to this community.

I couldn't find if this question has been asked before, but I'm looking for a more privacy friendly way to get notified when my favourite artists are gonna have show somewhere near me.

Things to mention: Convinience is not an issue. I'm not currently selfhosting so no server solutions unfortunately.

    Thanks in advance.
