I want to remove all proprietary software from my life.

Ah Ok then never mind
F you meta, i want to play it on my index
Why? Because it is down or because you just noticed that is is basicly just a Bing-Proxy?
In Germany nobody cares about if Autopilot was on, because you are still the driver of the car and responsible for everything it does. The Law says you need to be able to react to it, if you do not you are the only one responsible
I have never used docker on windows but you could try following the guide i did for linux: https://gist.github.com/WreckingBANG/405235949c655cd8246188ba25c42277
Ad Hoc is like the real AirDrop. It creates a Network between the two devices that gets disconnected afterwords. The Advantage is that you dont need wifi or to activate a hotspot.
Humans.
(Yes i am a Misanthrope)
Als nur FOSS-Software benutzender GrapheneOS und Linuxnutzer habe ich Angst zu fragen...
I thought about a Hyundai i20N. If it is not possible i am just buying a BMW e36 or e46
Remove Modem/SimCard from a Car
I want to buy a new car, but it needs to be privacy friendly. Sadly you cannot really buy any new Car that is.
Has anybody any experience on making your modern car not phone home to its company, by removing the hardware it uses to do?
I started because of ProxMox on my Server. I started about a Year ago with Linux Desktops because of Privacy. I wanted to only use it for Office and have a Windows Dual Boot for Gaming. Then i tried a few Games on Linux and realized that Proton is great. Then i only used Linux. Then i deleted Windows. Now i love Linux and Hate Windows
Fedora. Dont get me wrong it is a great Distro but i did not really felt at home when using it.

Forest: Focus Foss Alternative
Is there any Good alternative for Forest? I want a App to reward me for not using my phone.
I think the best way would be to make a symlink.
Yes. but it is mounted in /mnt/ not /run/

[Help] [Solved] Eaton UPS shuts off for 1 second when NAS is connected via USB
I bought a Eaton Ellipse Eco 650 USB DIN for my Homelab. I connected it to my nas which is running OpenMediaVault because OMV has a NUT Plugin. I conneced it, it got recognised and i thought i should test it. So i switched the breaker off and my nas turned off safely after my entered time. I then went to turn the breaker back on, but after a few seconds the ups shuts the power off all devices and applies it after a second. This only happens when the nas is connected via usb.
- is there a setting that i missed in nut?
- is my ups broken (i dont think so)
- what could be the problem?
Edit: Wow, the Eaton Germany Support is terrible. I called them multiple times and i think they dont even have a Call Center. I now submitted a Support Ticket. They could at least tell you that they dont have telephone support right now. If i get a response i will update this.
Edit2: It turns out, it was a issue with the integrated nut tools in OpenMediaVault. After removing them and installing them via apt and configuring it with the config files, it works without any power loss.
When will it be OpenSource?
I am sorry if this has been asked before, but when or will it be open sourced. It is the best Lemmy Client i have used yet but i dont like anything being closed source and i read somewhere the dev wants to open source it at some point. Just interested if there is an estimate.
Are these numbers really true?
Is this Total User Counter true? It seems kind of wrong because the Graph is only at 300k and i cannot imagine that we grew 200k people in the last 4 hours.
