I thought I'd share this. This is a web version of an old HyperCard stack from 1991. The site contains a lot of information that I think this community might find relevant and interesting.

  • Have you played Disco Elysium? The game deals with similar issues self-expression, identify, politics, and social problems. That being said, If you've not played Disco Elysium, it's worth a try. I can't recommend it enough. One of the most memorable games I've played in years.

  • I'd recommend maybe checking out some post-industrial bands like Skinny Puppy or Front Line Assembly. Might be the vibe you're looking for.

Here are a couple of examples: Skiny Puppy - "Testure" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fLm9mhh7gvg

  • Agreed. That is exactly why I chose to sign-up for this particular community. I am enjoying the cyberpunk aesthetic. After the Reddit debacle I started exploring other options, but wasn't especially drawn to many of the other Lemmy servers, until I came across this one. So far, through the limited exploring I've done, the community seems mature and feels a little like the forums of bygone days. Although I am generally a lurker, I am hoping to make a positive contribution to this server.

  • What do you incorporate in your daily life to be more “Cyberpunk”?
  • Old guy here. I am a long time punk-rocker, tech enthusiast, and generally ideologically anti-authoritarian & anti-capitalist.

By far the most punk (cyber and otherwise) thing I have done in my life is become a public school teacher working in a low-income urban school district.
