  • A lot, I'm finding, but it can be summed well with: I wouldn't redo my life, I'd treat this as an extension. I'd attempt to push my family towards less destructive tendencies, try to find and comfort my future-friends, and maybe try to guide my city towards a more productive future.

Not much truly changes other than my access to more time and power. My reality will still consist of the traumas I've experienced and having a chance to change the events will never make what I've experienced go away. Still way better than now, though!

  • Nothing babe just zoning out
  • Those kids will have to be exposed to the world eventually (... r-right?). Converting them to help spread love based on empathy and morals rather than rhetoric seems like the fastest route in my head. Fight fascist propaganda with our own~

However, idk how to reach them lol. Memes n pray? XD

  • Welcome to Lemmy
  • I'm going to keep cruisin' for the answer but I thought I'd ask anyways - is there a way to tailor your search in the community tab?

Lil' difficult to find communities in there with the overwhelming amount of NSFW communities added haha. I imagine I can toggle NSFW for now in my profile, but it'd be nice to know if I can query for tech and have just tech communities/instances/posts appear. Or to remove lemmynsfw.com from the search results.

    What are our search-powers? o:

Also ty for hosting @[email protected] <3 It's nice to be here. And sorry if that did something weird, I couldn't resist the blue box

  • Yep, free world all right. Lets ignore rules, laws, morals and ethics...

The universe is a free place to do anything. Luckily, most people have an aligned set of values with truth, love, empathy, and they want to fight for that against not just Reddit but various other entities that have made it very clear they don't care about those things.

Not caring about your fellow man to me feels like the antithesis of society. Heck in this day and age where it's so convenient to exist, it feels weird that you wouldn't care about others and trying to maintain what we have. That directly correlates to what you have, even if you think you have plenty now.

I have much to learn, but it seems more like you're misunderstanding something unless I've missed some heavy sarcasm.

  • Favourite brewing method?
  • Between this and the espresso thread I have some exciting new coffee methods to try~

I prefer drip brewing. I do it terribly and my coffee is grainy, but it's comforting

I also have a french press that makes really smooth coffee, but it's so hard to clean it isn't worth it ;P

  • Paul McCartney says 'final Beatles record' out this year aided by AI
  • I like how AI was utilized as a tool. It's pretty cool we can clean up choppy audio and the likes.

However, putting it out as a record implies it'll be for profit, yes? That feels ethically wrong as they're profiteering off of someone's work who isn't here anymore to consent. Like, the tape was given to him in 1994 by Lennon's widow. Feels weird to take that, clean it up, and then tell the world there's a new Beatles record to buy. Yet at the same time, that feels like normal 2023 biz.

I don't like it. Especially the fact that I doubt anyone else gets to exploit nostalgia with minimal effort for profit.

  • Just beat Terraria with a buddy today!
  • or the secret seeds like the one that basically inverts the world!

I've been playing since the dungeon didn't exist. Every update has been a banger. Terraria has so much quality content and the devs genuinely struggle to stop adding content into the game.

What a blessing. <3 I'm so grateful for the relogic team.

  • The top-selling game on Steam right now is a new 254-player FPS made by 4 people
  • ooooooo I forgot about that. When I heard about the player-size I was in awe and I always wanted to play that game but never got the chance to try it...

Was it any good? Sounds like it would have been a good time with the right group
