As a member of a rather vulnerable minority, I had made pretty liberal use of the block feature on Twitter. Of course, I left when Musk took over and switched to Mastodon, but my account's still there. I didn't delete it or anything. Might have to now.

It's a pretty intrinsic part of who I am; I can't imagine myself NOT being a trans lesbian. My egg cracked when I was 12, but it took over twenty years for me to come out(and I'm STILL not fully out). I guess, after YEARS of hiding it, it's nice to be openly queer, but, yeah, I'm not sure if I necessarily like it.

I'm still not holding my breath on this, but please, please, please let's have some actual consequences for these people. Nobody should be above the law.

The copyright term for works owned by a corporation should be cut wayyyy down. I'm fine with a long copyright if it's owned by a person, but corporations shouldn't be able to lock down things that are older than like 20 years old. People shouldn't be forced to buy a long discontinued console in order to legally play a old game.

While I'm glad that the U.S. isn't going to default, this really should have been a clean debt ceiling bill. Absolutely can't believe(okay, I can) that the Republicans would hold the world economy hostage like that. This isn't a triumph of bipartisanship, this is the Democrats making the best of a bad situation.

I'm Audrey, a long time Reddit user who signed up yesterday. I initially joined Reddit during the collapse of Digg, so, yeah, I've been there a while. I also dumped Twitter shortly after Elon Musk took over and switched to Mastodon; that was my first experience with the Fediverse. So far, I've had nothing but good experiences with the people I have met on fedi, and I hope that continues here.

Anyway, I am a 35 year old trans woman who lives in the Pacific Northwest, and my interests include video games(both modern and retro), movies(particularly the so bad it good kind), sports(well, I used to care more than I do, I only follow Seattle teams now), books(sci-fi, fantasy, history), and tech(to a degree). I do stream on Twitch from time to time, and I'm planning on switching to Linux when I build my new computer soon.

I prefer to do everything in the desktop, so I usually used old reddit with Reddit Enhancement Suite. When I'm out and about, I might scroll reddit a bit on the Boost app for Android. I don't want to use their official app or new reddit at all.
