Ooh, yeah that was Dark Souls 2. It's sort of the black sheep (or hipster favorite) of the series. That would be a rough starting point.
They're all so damn good, if you're the type of person who enjoys failing hard at first and then eventually "getting good".
The games aren't all that demanding either. They tend to prioritize art direction over graphics, so you can run it on a pretty old card. I haven't replaced my GPU since 2017, I think.
I've wondered about that. Messing around with window sizes seems mildly annoying. Also, what if you have something that wants to be full screen like a game?
Or game + guide, or game + discord? I won't go back to alt-tabbing...
I think this is a good way to approach most entertainment.
Trailers and ads aside, it seems like so many movies/shows/games these days are either too good at generating artificial hype online (that dies out after opening weekend), or have people with political axes to grind telling you why you should or shouldn't enjoy [thing]. It's tiresome, and it inevitably colors your perception going in.
