Had my yearly physical
  • You can do it, you really can. I tried to get quitting to stick so many times. I tried off and on for years until I didn't have to try any longer.

  • Sleep
  • I had sleep apnea. Before I quit drinking, I was stopping breathing 7 times an hour and needed a CPAP device. . A year after I quit, I was down to stopping breathing once every OTHER hour.

I still use the CPAP device because I never store with it and that makes my wife happy. I don't really need it anymore according to my Dr.

  • Had my yearly physical

Had my yearly physical. I quit drinking almost two years ago, and I'm in perfect health for a 52 year old.

20 lbs lighter, cholesterol is great, liver enzymes are all normal...

I literally have nothing to work on, other than to keep doing what I'm doing.

I'm so thankful I finally managed to quit.

Do you ever have a tomato plant that dies for seemingly no reason?
  • "Late blight" possibly.

This is not a criticism , but they seem crowded, we all work with the space we have. Also, have you planted tomatoes in that spot before? That can cause issues too.

Don't over water, let them dry out a bit, remove the dying plants asap, use a copper fungicide, and next year replace a lot of the soil if you have to plant in the same spot. If you can, rotate your crops every year.

  • The Daily Check-In for Saturday June 29th, Just For Today, We are NOT Drinking!
  • Iwndt. Instead,.I have a million chores to finish this weekend. Being hungover would make it so much harder to get everything done that I need to.

  • It will look great in a month!
  • Roma, beefsteak and cherry. Pretty simple this year, but I have 22 tomatoes plants this year, all started from seed.

  • It will look great in a month!
  • Pretty much. It keeps everything larger than a chipmunk out. Sometimes, a chicken jumps in.

  • Bee Milkweed
  • Yes, it's a picture of the patch of milkweed that we grow for the monarch butterflies.

They dont seem like too many when you move them all outside

    Album

I think I've discovered a drawback to moving everything outside in the spring. Buying more plants doesn't matter when you don't need to worry where to put them... until fall.

Finished with chalk paint and wax on the outsode, shellac and boiled linseed oil on the inside, this oak bowl with a rim of sycamore and walnut really pissed me off when it flew off the lathe while I was finishing the bottom and it had to be redone.
