Abuse is abuse rule
  • It’s me, your buddy - well maybe not your exact buddy but a dude living in this same scenario.

Please hang out when that last kid turns 18 and we are free. It’s horribly lonely and there is no one to help. Getting a divorce just means she gets everything including all the time in the world to manipulate the kids.

  • I will give you my review as someone who is a trans ally. The writing is bad. Like really bad.

I played DA:O when it first came out, bought the Golem bonus release package. It was a fun, dark fantasy game. Same with the expansion and the other DA games. This game has none of that in the story. It’s just a really awful written story.

The chuds, and I despise even typing this, are right. The trans/non-binary stuff comes out of no where. They go full vegan road biker CrossFit attitude with it and just inject it in the most random places. “Let me tell you about all the sets I did!” And then there are some kind of odd non-consenting scenes which make it even weirder.

It lacks ALL the magic and creative writing of BG3 with almost none of the character development. It’s Mary Sue shit from start to finish.

The combat is good, but it’s likely a separate team made it.

  • 'This reeks of desperation': Internet mocks 'Donald McDonald' for fast food campaign stunt
  • I was thinking this same thing. Having worked there in high school they took hygiene and food cleanliness as possibly the most important thing. When you can back from the bathroom it was standard practice to ask someone if they washed their hands, and multiple people would ask.

People in the drive thru mad about food delay? Doesn’t matter, it MUST be cooked to temperature. Forgot to shave? Here is the little shave kit, please go shave in the bathroom. No one was rude about it, people sometimes forget.

One of the only ways to get a paid day off was coming into work and having stomach pain. Immediately sent home with pay, no questions asked.

You know this fat piece of shit that was covered in a dirty diaper and smelled of piss did none of that. Nasty fuck. Ice cream machine is permanently closed.

  • I do the same, follow my patient gamer philosophy.

Until that time I can play guitar and likely have more fun repeatedly failing to learn a new rift. It’s sad that sucking at a guitar is more fun than most modern games.

  • Man who threw away $500M Bitcoin hard drive sues city for right to search landfill
  • I had a hard drive with five Bitcoin. Gave the old Gateway PC to a felon buddy who was down bad and trying to rebuild his life learning some coding way back in the mid 2010’s.

He threw the computer away for a new one. At the time it was 10,000 bitcoin for a pizza so never cared. I chuckle about it now, but it’s gone forever.

  • Man who threw away $500M Bitcoin hard drive sues city for right to search landfill
  • There is some method to the madness of dumping, trucks are not allowed to drive around and find a spot. Trash deposits get cycled to keep the dump somewhat level. It’s a “fill up Sect 12A, then fill up 78C” type of deal.

It’s not parceled like land, no where close to being exact. If the paper records go back that far and are intact, it would be a “Check out Sect 91B…maybe 10 to 100 feet down. Good luck”

  • Expedition 33 Dev Confirms $50 Price Is Correct, '30+ Hours of Main Game'
  • I am the same. Game could take 60 hours to complete, and 50 of them are dogshit. Then it’s not a fun game. It’s all about the overall quality of the entire experience.

I would gladly pay $100 for Subnautica 2 if they could pull off another amazing adventure. Would do the same for another Larian studio game.

  • Amazon cloud boss says employees unhappy with 5-day office mandate can leave
  • I know two senior programmers at Amazon who found new jobs rather than RTO. Within 24 hours after they left they got emails from recruitment identifying them as “boomerang candidates”, offered them a decent raise, and offered full time remote work.

This is nothing more than getting people to quit and hiring back key personnel lost in the process.

  • Elephant in the meeting
  • Somewhat agree.

I don’t mind DLCs that add additional content to the game. Elden Ring comes to mind. Dragon Age Origins did this as well.

But like Starfield where the DLC was supposed to be part of the actual game and they cut it to sell it later? Nope. Not interested.

  • “But we worked so hard in this!”

Sorry, you aren’t a cute grade school kid, you are a goddamn adult. I will happily encourage a small child to keep drawing stick figure dinosaurs that are indistinguishable from a melted candle.

When an adult makes a game far worse than what we had during the PS3 era with worse writing than an NES game, fuck out of here. We don’t owe you shit, not buying your garbage.

  • Elephant in the meeting
  • It goes back to Steve Jobs talking about how engineers and programmers losing positions of power in companies and being replaced with worthless MBA people.

They cannot add any value to a product, ever. All they do is make things worse for short term gain. They are all taught the Jack Welch style of management which does nothing but destroy a company. It makes no sense why it’s tolerated.
