If this hits your nostalgia buttons, take a look at NoClip's new game Stunt Derby https://store.steampowered.com/app/2026450/Stunt_Derby/
NoClip is a video game documentary patreon/youtube channel. They decided to make their own game to better understand the industry.
I feel like, even for the premium deluxe version I purchased, i've gotten my money's worth over the years in all of the free sim, avionics, and world updates. Will almost certainly be upgrading to 2024 day one.
Microsoft has said all of the marketplace purchases will transfer, and will be compatible.
All of your MSFS 2020 marketplace purchases will transfer to 2024. Externally purchased add ons should also be compatible.
I'm just teasing. You've made incredible progress already.
These look great! I like the ones towards the end that seem to show a combined upvote/downvote button and counts. Rather than having 4 separate elements for up count, down count, upvote, downvote. If that makes sense. I'd attach a pic, but I'm using your app right now, and... you know. ;)
I'm always amazed by the amount of work that goes into making an aircraft. Good on you for plugging away at the project!
Can we talk about that weird camera roll during the M’Benga / Chapel fight scene? Usually thats done when gravity is changing, but here the camera flipped, they went through a hatch to a lower level, then the camera rolled over again. What was that all about?
That was my take as well on the ship. My reading was that they picked up a bunch of salvage from the war, and kit-bashed it all together to make a ship.
This is a great start, and very usable already.
First, thank you for putting the community name first, before the poster's name. I'm not sure why all of Lemmy has it the other way around. I usually couldn't care less who the poster is, it's the community name that's important.
Here's my two suggestions: • When viewing a single community and the name is at the top of the screen, there's no need to repeat the "in [community name]" under every post. Omit that and just display the "by [user name]"
• Abbreviate the time display. Instead of "3 hours ago," display "3h". Both Apollo and the lemmy web interface do it that way and it's much cleaner.
My brother and I were all over this game when it first came out. I remember getting the free Warp Pack (I just had to look up what it was called) at a comic show held at the mall, and I thought free cards was the greatest thing ever.
It looks like the hardware may be Simpson Strong-Tie's Outdoor Accent line but also see OZCO Building Products for alternative options if you're looking for something similar.
I think the dedicated domain gives you a leg up over the other aviation communities. It says that you're serious about being a hub for aviation related conversation.
Not sure how much you want to go into the simulation categories, but I would like to see communities for VATSIM and maybe one for simpit/homecockpit builders.
Same. The current state is perfectly serviceable for me, and I look forward to helping it grow to make it more viable for others.
To be fair, 10 sheets of ply is going to make two very small sheds.
I added another year to my PS+ sub, not remembering that I had already done that during the previous sale. So now I'm all topped off until late 2026. Oops!
Looks great, and a lot like my first button box experiments. Are you using MobiFlight on the Arduino?
How it started:
How mine finished. I want to redo it though and add dual rotary encoders like yours instead of the two potentiometer knobs I have now.
One of these days I'll dig into vatsim. I really don't know what I'm doing though as far as proper procedures, or radio usage. So that would be quite a journey to get to that level! One day...
I typically fly GA aircraft, the Cessna 414 is my current obsession. Or the XCub for bush trips.
