ANNOUNCEMENT: The TankieJerkers have found out about ProleWiki.
  • if you look at the history of far right ideas, they have very strong syncretic inclinations. They unify their own concepts, even if they get contradictory salads in result (most fascist tendencies, conservatism and liberalism etc) and also they unify their strawmen of opposing concepts (judeobolshevism, all things LGBT). It's usually caused by lack of understanding of those concepts - and i believe by inability to count to 3 since they seems to have not much problem with 1, some with 2, but any more and the salads start.

  • Behold The Mighty ISU-152, The nazi Remover
  • Classification is not entirely clear, tanks are usually the armored tracked vehicles armed with cannons placed in turrets. For example of controversy look at Swedish Stridsvagn 103 which is usually called tank despite technically it is rather tank destroyer.

ISU-152 is usually classified as "assault cannon" since it's basically an armored mobile howitzer used to fire directly.

  • Liberals right now

    Do slaves create surplus value?
  • Note that "slaves would give you as much if not more surplus value than workers you have to pay" is one of the central problems here. They surely would give more surplus value in %, but in absolute values they would only do so in very primitive level of development, and even then not necessarily since even in antiquity slave labour was often considered inefficient.

Marx write more of this in Capital iirc.

  • Which ones of these would make the best pets?
  • Small lizards and so on don't need domesticating, since they are being usually held in terrariums. Fennec can be domesticated, it's not very easy though. Capybaras did went through domestication both historically and currently, just it was dependent on region and pigs are vastly better choice for livestock when compared.

  • Which ones of these would make the best pets?
  • Axlotl i think, some people do have them, iirc it needs some special conditions but except that it's like every similar creature.

No idea about frogs, lizards depending on species i guess. Capybaras are raised both as pets and livestock. Some people do have Fennecs as pets. Bats most likely no, or at least i never heard about them. Ravens yes, but since it's a big bird you would need to treat it more like hawk than like small parrot.

  • Israel-Hamas Conflict: Biden Reports Photos of 'Terrorists Beheading Children,' IDF Yet to Confirm
  • Netanyahu blamed holocaust on Palestinians and whitewashed Hitler, not very credible source i would say.

  • Children found 'butchered' in Israeli kibbutz, as horror of Hamas' attack on border communities begins to emerge | CNN
  • To be precise Palestine is like Donbas. Difference is that Palestine was genocided longer and more cruelly, and that Palestine don't have a poweful ally which would join the war to help them. Donbas did and lo and behold, most of western so called "left" hate them for that. They truly love every opressed people except those that fight back.

  • TIL you can get doxxed and have your life ruined just by supporting Palestine and/or opposing Israel
  • Nazis did the same, to the extent that at some point even fucking gestapo refused to process anonymous denounciations.

  • "The problem of humanity is the following: we have paleolithic emotions; medieval institutions; and god-like technology." ~ Edward O. Wilson, 9 September 2009.
  • Excuse for not using marxist analysis. Or any other analysis tbh.

Paleolitic emotions - we have much older ones too. Also pure "hoooman natur" argument.

Medieval institutions - ones newer that medieval like NATO or IMF are way bigger problem than anything that could survive since medieval. Also even the worst ones of those, like catholic church or British monarchy are not anymore the same medieval ones, all were changed by time.

God-Like technology - excuse me what? God-like as in burning some bush on desert or god-like like in creation of universe? Insufferable hyperbole and also wholesale condemnation of technology is unmarxist. Finally, it's not tech that is the problem, it's capitalism.

If someone want to write a slogan this banal, at least make it correct.

  • Why does the USA gives so much money to Israel every year and gives them weapons? What benefit does Israel give the USA?
  • Israel (and KSA) serves to destabilise the West Asia, region which is crucial both economically and strategically to petrodollar and to military part of US hegemony. It also served and still serves as proxy war area against USSR and now Russia.

Absolutely worst scenario imaginable for USA would be that area unifying under some kind of Arab entity.

  • kemono friends
  • Poland fact: in polish "kaban" means "hog"

  • Ladies and gents, New Conspiracy just dropped, Apparently its all caused by the CPC
  • Ah yes, Miles Guo, a.k.a. Guo Wengui, a foremost authority on, check notes: bribery, kidnapping, money laundering, fraud and rape.

  • This is another reddit country waiting to be fully exposed
  • if you look at ISIS, they have long and pretty consistent history of attacking US enemies but avoiding US allies. Hmmmm i wonder why is that

  • I just heard that the DPRK is PatSoc. Thoughts?
  • Holy shit this is the same thing i was saying ever since entire patsoc hysteria exploded on r/GenZedong back then, and all i got for that were bans from several "tankie" subs. Btw all of those subs later bothsided Ukraine so lmao.

  • Soviet SciFi books?
  • Sergey Snegov wrote a pretty good space opera trilogy "Humans as Gods".

Strugatsky brothers (just don't read anything written solely by Boris after Arkady died, it's pretty clear who was the brain and who was the pen in the duo).

Kir Bulychev wrote absolute shitton of books and stories.

There's also polish ones, of course the giant Stanisław Lem, and less famous Janusz Zajdel (though i have mixed feeling about Zajdel, a lot of his stories were interpreted as anticommunist after 1989). Hidden gems are Krzysztof Boruń and Andrzej Trepka - their books are probably not translated to english and pretty forgotten in Poland since they wrote the real socialist sci-fi.

  • Changes on Lemmy I do not agree with
  • Same here. Especially point 2, there is often something worth reading in answers to the removed posts.

About point 1, removed posts with context should be visible at least from the modlog level.

    "Rear-Front" memorial in Magnitogorsk

Magnitogorsk was the most important steel production center in USSR during the WW2 and one of the biggest in the world. Monument shows worker presenting the freshly made sword to the warrior.

Which is the same sword being also depicted on two other famous monuments: The Motherland Calls in Stalingrad, where she rises it into the air in the defence of the country (though the sword looks different because of different architect), and the War Memorial in Berlin, where the victorious warrior lowers the sword to the ground.

    Just finished reading "Cadian Honour"

    Ending was pretty selfaware:

"He [General Bendikt of Cadian 101th] paused on the lip of the portal for one last look at Potence. The rebellion had been crushed, the Scourged had been thrown back and most importantly, Cadian honour had been restored. Some might call Potence a wasteland. But to the military minds of the Astra Militarum, this was peace."

Note: Potence is basically an agri world with one city (and it wasn't even a hive city) being quiet residence of sector-ruling noble house so disgustingly rich they are even named "Richstar". And the "wasteland" is unusual for 40k exaggeration, capital got devastated and millions died but rest of planet was implied to be not touched by fights.

Sigliberalism is dead, it's time to restart Sigmarxism

They shall be our finest warriors, these men who give of themselves to the cause of proletariat. Like clay we shall mould them, and in the furnace of class war forge them. They will be of iron will and steely muscle. In great tank armour shall we clad them and with the mightiest guns will they be armed. They will be untouched by plague or disease of liberalism, no sickness of capitalism will blight them. They will have tactics, strategies and machines so that no foe can best them in battle. They are our bulwark against the Terror. They are the Defenders of Humanity. They are our Red Army and they shall know no fear.

I didn't even had to change this quote very much
