I just wanted to take this opportunity to say " Fuck Ollie"
It isn't, but it drives clicks.
A skimmer was found at the LaBonnes location is Prospect as well.
It's amazing how many times I see this same headline, year after year. It's always a dude, too.
It was basically three spud guns mounted on an adjustable base. It's fun seeing how high they go.
Sorry mate. I'm on the Voyager app and there was a huge delay in notifications.
This was basically three potato cannons mounted in an adjustable mortar formation. You could fire off three before having to reset.
I'm curious about what ESC to run in my beetleweight. It's going to have 4, 22mm brushed motors and a 460oz servo. The plan is to run twin ESCs on a shared receiver, but different channels, obviously. Do I need a BEC for this application if I'm running a single 3S lipo?
What community here could help me answer that? I belong to about a half dozen groups on FB that'd have me pointed in the right direction within 30 minutes.
Forums were perfect for hobbies. Facebook is a lousy alternative. Lemmy isn't even in the running.
I feel like I need Facebook. I used to belong to dozens of forums between RC cars, aquarium stuff, and robotic stuff. All but one has shuttered, and Facebook Groups are my only option to connect with people for my hobbies, especially locals. Even state clubs used to have their own forums.
The Talos Principle.
I just stopped playing it one day and never touched it again. I didn't dislike anything about it.
The world wasn't interesting enough for me. It felt like the same 45 minute game loops over and over again.
I dont know. I think there could be an inventory of replicas. You can get a 1911 in multiple calibers already, as you can many revolver frames. There's no reason they couldn't make custom ones.
With all the money spent on films, I'm amazed there isn't regulated "Hollywood" caliber firearms. Something incapable of chambering anything on the market, and only functions with the certified blanks.
Something akin to the way fake currency is controlled.
My childhood friend had a farmhouse that had a back door facing west (I believe that was the direction), and when you opened the door and a specific set of windows, the whole house turned into a wind tunnel. It was pretty cool. I remember his dad saying they'd design the houses that way on purpose.
Different watches for different occasions, just like ties, shoes, glasses, and every other piece of jewelry. One of those belonged to his grandfather, and another was a gift from his dad when he graduated college. I don't think any of his watches cost more than $500, which, in the watch collecting world, isn't a ton of money.
But on pretzel day, well, I like pretzel day.
. “We’re poised now for many years of discovery ahead, and we’ll be looking at everything from our solar system to exoplanets to distant galaxies. Hubble plays a powerful role in NASA’s astronomical toolkit.”
So glad to hear! It's an amazing piece of hardware. I know it's had plenty of repairs over time, but I'm always a bit amazed that it's still functioning.
Louisiana is so lame.
He gets that all the time! He's just come to embrace it at this point.
Negative. You want humidity, otherwise the necks dry out and warp.
A lot of music stores have their acoustic guitars in closed rooms which basically act as giant humidors. Some players go as far as having a humidifier in each guitar case.
As long as the humidifier isn't spewing directly on a guitar, you want one in the room.
Strings will rust over time, but they'd do that just about anywhere where there is moisture in the air, humidifier or not.
It's a Rivolta something or other
My dad loved the giant watch I made him for father's day
It doesn't look quite as big with everything else around it, but it looks good next to his collection.
There's a new F40 on the way!
French retailer Fnac has given us our very first look at two new LEGO Speed Champions coming in August 2024, a Ferrari F40, and a Nascar Next Gen Chevrolet Camaro ZL1! It seems like LEGO is doubling down on this trend of creating big and small versions of sets. With the Ferrari F40, we had […]
Man, the Speed Chamions series have really come a long way. My 6-wide F40 is one of my favorites on the shelf. It's got a type of charm that the 8-wide don't have.
That being said, I can't wait to park one of these next to my Countach!
My dad collects watches, so I'm making him a giant one for fathers day.
It works too! I fit a movement in behind the face.
I didn't design this print. I modified the one that can be found here to feature my dad's initials on the watch face: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:619550
My neighbor's conifer tree looks like it started growing a different type.
It almost looks like it was grafted or something. Does anyone know what's going on?
Beverly Hills Ninja is a stupidly fun Chris Farley flick
I watched this movie for the first time in at least a decade last weekend. I still enjoyed it as much as my younger self did.
It's pretty stupid, but it's full of 90s charm and Chris Rock.
