Why in Canada, the trains don't run on time

IPhones' default photo format is HEIC, something that Windows doesn't open by default.
  • JPG is not bad, but it uses more storage space for the same quality compared to HEIC/HEIF

  • I'm from the Y'all zone. Is it offensive to call trans people y'all?
  • Any examples of an equivalent in other languages?

I speak a small amount of French but can't think of one

  • What are you going to do, no matter how small, to make the world a little better?
  • I ride my bike/take public transit in my car-centric city

  • Apex Legends is now rated "Mostly Negative" on Steam
  • I've converted several Apex players to the wildly underrated Quake Champions

  • What are some small things that grind your gears?
  • Cars going into the pedestrian crossing area at red lights

  • *Permanently Deleted*
  • 2k 120hz easy

  • New mobile features are sh*t these days
  • 100%, not denying that

  • New mobile features are sh*t these days
  • We got USB C 14>15, that’s an upgrade on its own tbh

  • How do ye find new music?
  • La Femme - Paradigmes

  • How do ye find new music?
  • I listen to the playlists Apple Music makes me each week. Discovered tons of stuff

  • LG monitor asking about ad tracking preferences
  • Smart Monitor is the same as a Smart TV, not surprised

  • Do you refrain from participating to a community if it's hosted on Lemmy.ml ?
  • I never pay attention to, or care about where a community is hosted

  • Ont Conservatives hate bureaucracy until it fits their agenda
  • I wish Municipal governments moved that fast 😅

  • Responding specifically to “those bikes zipping past me are just as scary to me as cars are to cyclists”

I do agree that if there’s a safe bike lane, cyclists should be using it, not the sidewalk. I wouldn’t classify all bike lanes as ‘safe’ tho

  • Ont Conservatives hate bureaucracy until it fits their agenda
  • I also dislike being passed by cyclists on the sidewalk but, it’s not really equivalent to cars.

Car hitting a cyclist is far more likely to have severe injuries/death than a bike hitting a person.

    There you go little guy
  • People like that are gonna cause accidents anyways.

Studies have shown that accidents are more likely to be severe/fatal on wide, straight roads.

  • There you go little guy
  • I agree, but I'm pointing out that they do indeed help if implemented correctly

  • Seems like a nice guy, hope he doesn't run me over :)

lfpress.com Has city hall already outgrown its own blueprint for growth, the London Plan?

The growth of London is happening so fast, the city's population has hit its own estimate for 2031 seven years early. That's prompting some within city hall to push for more review of the municipality's blueprint for growth.

    Best PDF Reader?

Paid is fine if it's low-cost

PDF editting is nice but not a necessity. Recommendations?

Currently just using OneDrive as a PDF viewer but there must be nicer ones too

    TrueNAS/Nextcloud HEIC support?

Am I doing something wrong or does TrueNAS/Nextcloud not support HEIC images?

I'm not super knowledgable on this topic so unsure how to fix (if possible to fix)

    Thanks

Is the touchpad being more sunken on one side normal?

The right edge of my trackpad is physically higher lifted than the left edge which feels quite sunken.

This normal, do y'all have this?

Do creators still get Watch-Rev from views with Premium-accounts?

    I sub to YT Premium.

If I log in on Grayjay and 'Provide YT Activity', will creators get the watch revenue from me?

Do you really need to do dedicated 'leg' or 'arm' days?

I've been going to the gym for a few months, still feel like a noob tho.

I track what exercises I do, weight & reps, etc, and try to rotate between the different exercises I enjoy.

However I don't do leg-centric days or anything like that, I just try and do a variety each week and not go too long without exercising specific areas. Is that bad?
