If it's education, it's actively being defunded. That's the real problem
Let your dad sober up and then let him know how this makes you feel. Some people really need to hear how their choices can affect other people. If he's a reasonable person he will listen. If he's an alcoholic he might double down, but he won't know how you feel unless you tell him.
The closest I ever came to suicide was when I was unemployed, living with my parents, and had about $150 left in my bank account. I was too embarrassed to ask for money, and too ashamed to even ask for a loan. My parents would not have judged me at all, but I was too proud to admit I had no money. Capitalism had me conditioned to believe that if I wasn't productive I wasn't worth keeping alive. Never again.

You do both tests, but the breathalyzer they use at the scene isn't accurate enough, so if you fail either test, they take you to the station to use their fancy breathalyzer.
