Motorcycle riders will need to ride electric at some point. I'm asking for this product, but the price is too high and performance is not good enough for me to justify it yet. (Same as cars to be fair)
I know women get the solid steel ones from Amazon, but I'm sorry that probably doesn't help you. Good luck.
Wouldn't them joining NATO now cause a massive escalation? I thought the idea was for them to join after the war to prevent another in the future.
New fear unlocked.
What in the god damn! God dammit! What did you god damn do?! Do the god damn thing I told you to god damn do! What the god damn did you god damn do?!
I recently discovered the piano and violin version of this, rather than the full orchestral version. It's much more intimate and would be my choice for a more soothing experience. The orchestral version is so emotional for me, that sometimes I wouldn't be able to describe it as soothing.
I envy your optimism, that things get better in the future.
Everything I hear or see of this man brings a smile. He is absolutely amazing.
If you only want to talk about EVs, current technology and specific circumstances, sure.
I replied to the person above you who made essentially the same comment.
I understand that part and somewhat agree, but still think progress is cool. Especially in a futurology post.
I understand there is green hydrogen and blue hydrogen and considered adding a paragraph on that in my comment, but didn't.
I know most hydrogen isn't green, but there isn't a reason it couldn't be some day.
It makes some sense to me to use the currently more economically viable blue hydrogen in developing technology, but I do agree it is far from perfect.
Considering all this, I still think the negativity to hydrogen progress isn't proportional.
Every post about hydrogen gets a negative reaction, like someone has proposed using coal to power cars.
There are different suitable applications for different types of energy, it's not a situation where you have to pick one solution and that's it. I notice the same happens to some degree with posts about nuclear power.
Hydrogen has potential in things like shipping, aviation, trains and industry. Even if the exact concept in the article doesn't work, the lessons learned might advance technology in other projects.
From my armchair, I've always felt like the engine isn't a silver bullet for success. Having your own engine and building the car around it, getting every part working in harmony and the aero just perfect is worth so much more than the best engine in a mediocre car.
But, I kind of get it.... Renault just isn't a functioning team any more and it's really sad to see. Maybe this would be a step to some better results, but long term it will probably limit their growth.
I object more to the recirculation of other people's piss water over my hands.
That is beautiful. I am now in the phase of convincing myself not to buy it even though it's obviously only going to end one way...
I've stopped using cast iron after some experimentation. It has some uses, but none of which can't be done equally well in a stainless steel or carbon steel pan.
I find these respond to temperature changes better and so are easier to control. My big iron pan also doesn't heat evenly enough, so extra care is needed to cook things consistently if it spans a wide area of the pan.
I think the best place for iron cookware is for oven pots, not for hobs and frying.
Steve Wright in the afternoon?
I would also like to hear the statement from the Swedish government, on this news from Switzerland.
Hello From A New Chicken Keeper
First I want to say hello, I have only 3 lovely chickens to start off with as I learn the ropes.
Secondly, my neighbours son is absolutely obsessed with the chickens. It's really nice, but he is also feeding them huge amounts of wild bird seed and I'm a little worried. There are mounds of the stuff being poured over the fence!
I have spoken to his parents nicely and asked them to stop him doing so, which they understand.
In case this doesn't get resolved quickly, is there any danger that this can cause harm to my chickens?
Does my plant have the plague?
Any idea what this is? Many leaves are dying on the plant, wondering if there is a way to save it. I have forgotten the name of the plant, but will update when I find it.
Edit Ctenanthe Lubbersiana - thanks @squeezeyerbawdy
Flowering Aglaonema?
I have a dreamcatcher which I thought had a dying leaf or something, but it looks like this could be something like seeds!? There is a second pod which isn't open to the left in the picture.
I don't really know what it is but I'm excited about it. My other aglaonema hasn't grown at all in 2 years!
Le Mans 24
Anyone tuning in at all on the off weekend for F1? It's nice to see some familiar faces in the teams.
Blue Steel Convert
I bought a set of three carbon steel pans, and they are amazing. Is this allowed here? They are 99% iron I think.
They are lighter than a full iron pan but you still season them in the same way.
I have had an iron pan dedicated to meat cooking for a few years now, but I'm not sure it will get much use now.
These are new pans, so I'll have to see how they last, but I'm very optimistic.
Fast food should be expensive.
I get that until recently it was considered normal and relatively cheap, but you are literally paying someone else to make food for you.
It can't be sustainable without exploitation of workers and/or animal welfare to have that available to the majority of people on a regular basis.
If you can only afford fast food as a luxury, to me that seems like a good thing.
Anyone else think this was Graham Norton?
CNN — As the National Book Awards came to a close on Wednesday, finalists for the prestigious literary prizes took the stage in New York to speak about the Israel-Hamas war, with others at the ceremony also choosing to address banned books.
As a non USA resident, I didn't know who this was. Before I read the post that was the name I had in my head.
Seems legit, Google knows what is best for me.
Sorry for the poor quality / lack of screenshot, this is from my work computer which I isolate from my personal devices, so I just took a picture.
India GP Track Approval
I heard on the Sunday broadcast for the San Marino GP that it isn't confirmed yet if the India GP will go ahead.
The riders still need to test the circuit and give a verdict.
I think that's insane. Just wondering if anyone else knows any more about this?

Can we try to include a transcript of tldr bot in some way?
Pecco relativley ok... might not be as bad as we first feared.

Help wanted: Is this OK?
I was given a Montsera(?) cutting and I don't really know if this leaf is too wrinkled? It's a minefield trying to read about and understand if I have over or under watered. I just don't know what this plant actually wants.
My usual approach is to assume I have over watered if a plant looks unhappy, but I don't know if these bounce back after a period of under watering, if I hold back on watering more now.
Hiding posts?
I might have missed it somewhere, but is it possible to hide posts here. I like to hide popular posts once I am done seeing or engaging with them.
With the lower traffic here, I think this would especially help with finding new content.
