I always get them confused.
  • The joke is so obvious there's no need to comment on it so others, including myself, are using this as an opportunity to post our opinions on the difference between sci-fi and fantasy.

  • I always get them confused.
  • I would argue that science fiction and fantasy are the same thing and the only difference is the explanation for how all the cool stuff works.

Functionally, there's no real difference between a portal that takes the characters to another world using a wormhole and one that does it through through magic. Just like how there's no difference between Vulcans/Klingons/Wookies and Elves/Dwarves/Beastmen. Both are intelligent non-humans.

  • Teamsters say most of its members back Trump for president in poll
  • They think when the chaos hits they'll be the ones climbing the ladder instead of the ones being used as a ladder.

  • Lord of the SCIENCE
  • I could be entirely wrong about this but isn't it in-universe lore that Elves don't see the curvature of the world and that's how they can see so far?

  • Why is everybody mad
  • George Jetson was able to support his whole family off his single job working one hour a day, two days a week and his job was to just push a button.

The people in the past were Incredibly optimistic about the future.

  • Switch 2 Rumors Are Hitting A Fever Pitch
  • That's what I'm hoping for as well. The Switch is a great console and the only thing it really needs is upgraded hardware.

  • First time I hear about the Boox Palma, a phone-sized E-reader with Android and the Play Store, does anyone have it?
  • I don't know how relevant this is to you but I was looking at getting a Boox since it would easily let me read my Kindle and Kobo books on a single device without any hassle. However, it achieves this by running their apps so the books are segregated. There's no one library with all your books. Your Kindle books are only on the Kindle app, your Kobo books are only on the Kobo app, your library books are only on the Libby app.

It sounded really tedious to have to flip between a bunch of different apps to track all my books so I decided to just stick with Kobo.

  • 'Saucier, more ruthless' Harris campaign pivots to new tactic in Trump attacks
  • Her quote never really felt that outrageous. She wasn't even calling all Trump supporters "deplorable". Here's her quote

“You know, to just be grossly generalistic, you could put half of Trump’s supporters into what I call the basket of deplorables. Right?” Clinton said. “The racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamaphobic—you name it. And unfortunately there are people like that. And he has lifted them up.” She said the other half of Trump’s supporters “feel that the government has let them down” and are “desperate for change.” “Those are people we have to understand and empathize with as well,” she said.

  • Terrifying
  • Wasn't he powerless in the episode he was afraid of Guinan? Maybe he was worried she would use the opportunity to get revenge.

  • Chief O'Brien at Work #7 - Maybe Next Time
  • The least they could have done was give him a chair.

  • Betrayal of the highest order
  • Strippers don't rotate around the pole. The pole itself is rotating.

  • Russia is barely using one of its best weapons against Ukrainian forces in Kursk because it's scared to hit itself, war expert says
  • If I was a corrupt Russian general, embezzling funds meant for nuclear deterrence upkeep would be a pretty safe bet since they are the weapons least likely to ever be used and thus least likely to be found out.

  • I got a new job. whatsapp group (20 people) is migrating to signal because I don't use it.
  • That's exactly what I thought as well from reading the headline. It definitely could have been worded better.

  • Never store gerbils up your ass, we went over this!
  • I thought it said "his shole had teeth" and it took me awhile to both notice the B and to really be it was for censorship.

  • Tattooing your forehead with a political person's name
  • Shit like this is why calling Republicans weird is resonating so well. You certainly can't call someone who gets a politician's name tattooed on their forehead normal.

  • turkey
  • Kind of reminds me of the left pad incident only much worse.

  • Adagio Mystery Box

I ordered a mystery box from Adagio which finally came in and was surprised at what came in. I was expecting a collection of single cup samples but instead I got several of the larger bags that can make multiple cups each.

    This box contained:

    • April in Paris - .8oz
    • Blueberry Peach Gobbler Green - .5oz
    • Double Ginger Herbal - .8oz
    • Lemon Meringue Green - .5oz
    • Zodiac - aries tea - Single
    • Black Jasmine Song - Single
    • Tie Kuan Yin Black - .4oz

Since they change what they put in the mystery box each month, I might just see how to setup a monthly auto-purchase.

Tried Lady Grey a la Creme

I picked up some new teas from a shop while on vacation and this one was pretty good. I like teas with lavender in them but I find that it's sometimes overpowering. This one had the lavender taste without it overwhelming the other flavors.

Edit: I tried to upload a picture but it wouldn't let me so I used a link to the one of the pictures on the site.

I know there's a whole ethics thing revolving around the use of AI but I still find this sort of stuff to be amazing.

Where are y'all getting your tea from?

I've gone from getting tea bags at the grocery store to tea bags ordered online and just started getting loose leaf tea. I've been buying the bags and the loose tea from Stash but I was wondering where all of you get your tea.
