AskReddit is over run by bots
  • Yea same. Now that you mention that, gaming really is one of the only reasons I’m on there anymore. Destiny for example, still has a pretty active sub. But to your point, the couple discord groups I’ve joined over the past couple years are way better.

  • AskReddit is over run by bots
  • A lot of the site feels like it’s been overrun by bots. The more niche communities seem to still be pretty good (and I do still enjoy engaging in them). But the subs like ask Reddit, Aita and the relationships one? Yea, it all feels like bs.

  • Earth reaches hottest day ever recorded 3 days in a row
  • I’m staying right by a rail trail/path whatever you want to call it. I was going to bring my running shit and get some runs in during the early morning; you think it’s worth for me to even do that?

  • Apple announced Vision Pro before its best applications are working, says leaker
  • Well, wasn't this a developer conference? Same way the Journal app isn't launching until later this year.

I know more and more consumers watch WWDC, but still, it's aimed at devs and sort of reserved for upcoming software (and hardware now too).

  • Which apps do you use for notes and reminders?
  • Been using Apple Notes for years. More than iMessage, it's what always brought me back from android.

For a long time, I was using Things for reminders, but I feel like reminders has caught up so much. Plus, I use the location based reminders more than I ever thought I would.

  • I made the mistake of checking Reddit (using my last few days of Apollo) and came across a complaint about Lemmy that flabbergasted me
  • Someone didn't grow up during the days of forums.

But as a designer, I understand where they're coming from. Especially if they were using the new reddit design on the web and Apollo on mobile. At the very least though, I think Lemmy's default UI looks much better than old.reddit (and I say that as someone who still uses old.reddit).
